I stumbled on this place when I tried to get reservations at Hotel Jeffrey, across the street in Coulterville. The Rose Cottage has 4 bedrooms, all beautifully furnished and decorated. Its the bed kind of B&B because everything feels antique and authentic, but the electrical, plumbing, and heating are all fresh and modern. You can cook your own eggs at breakfast, which has all the goodies. Fernando, the owner, is a sweetheart and always ready to take care of you. We stayed in the Yosemite Suite. It was really quiet, even as the party raged on at the Hotel Jeffrey. I LOVED the price we paid for the room. The next morning, we enjoyed shopping in the antique store on the first floor. What is very cool about this area is that it is only 1 hour to Yosemite. Also there are many other old West "ghost towns" nearby! Only a few minutes drive up the 49 takes to you Jamestown, Columbia, and many other gold rush sites. We are definitely coming back!

This Bed and Breakfast is an absolute gem. It was our first stay at a B & B and was a very pleasant surprise. We stayed in the Rose room and it was gorgeous, loved the olde world fferrel, the four poster bed was warm and very comfortable, the attention to detail is amazing, nothing has been forgotten. Then there was breakfast, every taste was catered for and the Turkey eggs were delicious. Such a peaceful morning on the verandah sipping a hot brewed coffee and listening to roosters crowing heralding a new day.||Our host Fernando is such a nice person, nothing was too much trouble, he was so warm and welcoming, made our stay extra special. Highly recommend staying here, a peaceful place, a home away from home. Make sure you visit the shop on the ground floor, some treasured in there, I bought some lovely mementoes of our stay at this delightful place.|| If you are there on a Friday night venture across the road to the hotel, meet the locals, have a few drinks and a bite to eat, we had a great night when we were there.

I had the pleasure of staying here over the 4th of July weekend. The Rose Cottage also known as the Yosemite Coulterville Inn, is a must-stay for any fan of the old west or anyone intrigued with history. Many thanks to Fernando and Anthony for making our stay personable and fun. The breakfast was great and you can choose between chicken or turkey eggs as well as a wide selection of hot and cold cereals, pastries and fresh fruit, some picked the same morning from trees located on the property. All of the rooms are comfortably furnish with many unusual and interesting antiques. The air conditioning and ceiling fans keep the rooms very comfortable and there is free wifi. Be sure to browse the Antique store Fernando and Anthony run, located downstairs from the guest house. This is a great place to stay in order to explore Yosemite National Park and the regions many Ghost Towns and historic sites. The entire town of Coulterville is a historic landmark, consisting of 42 buildings from the mid 19th century. Across the street are the town's museum and an authentic old west saloon. both dating from the 1850's. Fernando runs the saloon on Friday nights and the entertainment alternates between live musical performances and karaoke. The towns people are very friendly and interesting to talk to, everyone makes you feel right at home.

drove in to Coulterville (population 115 according to the sign) and wondered if the place was still inhabited. Parked up in front of the antiques shop come B&B with a trepidation that was unwarranted. We were greeted by the owner, Fernando who showed us to the Rose room, complete with four poster bed. The furnishings are old but in a good way. Fernando is a most welcoming host and also runs the saloon across the road, which is just as welcoming. ||The shower needs a gentle hand to get it tuned right, much like balancing a twin carb motor. Breakfast is a help yourself affair with free range eggs, fresh fruit, bread, tea, coffee etc although Fernando is usually hovering making himself useful.||There is no cell phone coverage (communication is via yelling from one end of the street to the other) but we got good strong wifi. Locals were all happy as with broad smiles and very welcoming.||Best of all is the absolute peace and quiet. We'd spent time in some top notch hotels during our tour of the U.S. But this rates right at the top as far as welcoming and a good night's sleep. Do yourself a favour and grab at least one night here on your way through. Grab the Rose room.

We spent 2 nights in Yosemite Coulterville Inn and it was just perfect. The place is very unique with lots of little treasure in every room. Fernando who runs the hostel is an amazing host and a very interesting person, we had great chats. The breakfast is very rich with organic orange and eggs.

We didn't know what to expect. We arrived and found an antique store where we thought the inn was located. We went inside and looked around but no one was there. We went outside and the owner was walking across the street. He also owns the saloon across the street. He's greeted us warmly, showed us upstairs and to our room. We were the only guests there so we had ample room to move around. We spent some time chatting with the owner which was great. Breakfast is on your own meaning that eveything you need is set out and you make your own. We enjoyed this very much. Also, the eggs are from his own chickens so they are super fresh and tasty.

Had a long weekend stay over 4th July weekend, the hotel is right in the centre of town it is connected to an antique store and the owner also owns the local saloon. Was a really nice stay with such great customer service for the price we paid. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and recommend this hotel for anyone looking to take in a little bit of history in a small town community that help to shape the experience. Close enough to the park to drive in daily also.

We had reservations for 7/19/16 but upon arrival, decided not to stay. There was no sign to let you know what the place was called, other than an antique store. Only found it because of address. There was nobody around. Hand written sign on door to call a phone number on arrival. The town had a population of 115. We were starved when we arrived and there's no place to eat. Wasn't very inviting and kind of intimidating for 2 females traveling alone. I think this place is highly misrepresented on the hotel sites. I will definitely not be using that site any more.
