TERRIBLE experience. I am a Wyndham Diamond member and forget about being acknowledged at checkin, they don’t even bother making sure your room is in good condition. Our shower gel bottle was empty throughout our stay, even after letting the staff know. One elevator hasn’t worked for years but the second one stopped working within an hour of us checking in - staff didn’t even put a sign to make guests aware. Weather was horrible throughout the weekend and we had to take the stairs that are OUTSIDE the building - felt very unsafe going up and down 4 flights of stairs, especially with my knee problems. Breakfast is now as mediocre as it gets. Avoid this hotel at any cost - we only stayed here because it’s a Wyndham property but after this experience, I am taking my business to Marriott. Plenty of other options in the area, no need to pay the hefty prices at this hotel since management is not interested in making any improvements whatsoever. They were well aware that their hotel will be at full capacity for a college event. Parents will be in town and yet they decided to not invest in making sure that their elevators are working. We were basically forced to use the fire exit as my main entrance and exit. Hotel does not even have staircase inside the building.

My wife & daughter stayed April 4-6 for Mom's Weekend at U of I. Both elevators did not work.
The Pool was not available due to the heater was broken.
Mold is in the shower.
You have to walk outside in the rain to the emergency stairway to walk to your room five floors up and down! Which, by the way, the staircase is unlocked due to heavy traffic.
Ants in the bathroom
Breakfast is terrible.
They tried to charge me $300 a night for a smelly & moldy room
The Jacuzzi had no knobs and did not work.
Had to sleep with the lights on because they could not find an off switch.

Stayed at the Wyndham Garden Convention Center the first week of Feb. 2025 and had a very nice stay. Hotel is off the main street so very quiet and the room, a standard king, although a bit 'worn in', it looked more recently updated with a walk in shower with rainfall shower head. The room itself did not have a lot of light as it was an interior courtyard facing room, the bathroom was quite well lit. || Bedding was comfortable with good pillows and the room was very clean. Also liked that it had hardwood floors in the room and not carpet.||||The breakfast was hot every day, usually eggs with potatoes and biscuits and gravy. Coffee was good and they also had cereal, bagels and fruit for those that eat lighter in the morning. There was also a decently equipped workout room.||||Also, special shout out to the front desk host, Rebecca, who was very helpful and accommodating with requests and all the staff I met were very friendly as well. Would and will definitely stay here again.

Amazing stay! From the moment I was greeted by front desk staff I felt hospitality. Very therapeutic shower, the room is so clean, comfortable and feels like a vacation getaway. Had a minor issue with the WiFi but when I told the front desk manager Rebecca she was very polite , understanding, and took accountability on behalf of the hotel and addressed the problem immediately. Her integrity and customer relations skills really surpassed my expectations! She is a rarity and understands business. I will be staying here again

Hotel does not deserve a star. The front staff tried to help everyone on a very busy Moms weekend for the canpus. I feel bad for the front office staff, trying to accommodate and make things right but it was beyond their control. This is not their fault. This is all Wyndham, they need to do better. No working elevators, pool and restaurant closed. Was booked for 5th floor and was told had to go outside to access stairs to climb 5 flights to room. Luckily, I was able to cancel with the help of the front staff. Obviously not ADA compliant hotel.

The bed part of the room is really nice. The bathroom was recently worked on but not done well. There is mold in the caulking and dirt at the edge of the tub at the floor. The wall covering has big bubbles in it.

NO stars for you EVER!!!!
Staff- blah! (I believe they used the phrase above their pay grade)
Food- Blah!! (think hospital but worse)
Rooms- OMG!! My room was 78 degrees if not warmer, the thermostat looked broke broke. I called and they sent a broken box fan up. (no words)
Bathroom- Holy Crap Gross!!! Mold, Dirty Floors, empty soap bottles, stained towels. (nice shower head tho)
Lobby was dated and staff did not empty trash while we were there. (lots of space)
Pool was broken the whole time we were there.
gym was disgusting!!! dirty, ratchet, no towels, no cleaner, and again no one emptied the trash!
DO NOT GET ME STARTED ON THE ELEVATOR AND STAIRS SITUATION.
This hotel has apparently been undergoing renovations for 4 years and still no where close to acceptable to stay.
If we hadn't been told we had to stay to play in the basketball state tournament we would have high tailed it out of there.
I also still have not received a refund or any compensation after they raised their prices to over $200 a night to stay in that hell hole. Save yourself and do not stay here!!!!!
They had plenty of notice to get their act together to host that many people.

This place was booked for us as a group for a traveling sports team. If I could give this place zero stars, I would. The place is creepy, the room smelled like body odor. The toiletries were literally half used. There were hairs of unmentionable nature in the bed and money left in the bed.|Clearly, the staff do not keep an eye on who is in their establishment because a middle aged man was hanging out in the elevator. Which, by the way the elevator smelled like something was burning.|Do not believe the pictures on line. It does not look like that.|We didn't stay. We demanded a refund and got the heck out of there.
