Great facility! We loved visiting multiple times for The Grand American Trapshooting Event. So many great companies all in one place. Easy to navigate and the grounds are well kept. Lots to do even if you're not participating in shooting. The food was good at the main building and the staff is all friendly!

Ata grand campsites. They will double book your site and threaten to call the cops on you while you hold proof of your recipt in your hand. Wont offer to refund you or anything. Horrible, rude people.

Very clean park. I was very impressed by the condition of things. The entrance to the park could be more of a straight shot sense you have trailers coming in and out. It is very silent too no background noise of the roads and or factories in the area. The showers are prison showers which i hate that needs to change. Besides the showers the bathrooms are very nice and accomdating. The summer spots are beautiful unfortunately for the full timers during winter time they are all huddled into the front of the park in one area. They got little room but ive seen worse. The most spots are concrete the rest are asphalt/gravel. The trash cans are the cleanest trash cans i have ever seen they obviously care about keeping them in good condition to keep rodents away. Overall beautiful park!

This is one of my favorite places to camp. It has plenty of yard, paved roads for bike riding or skating, a playground, everyone is friendly and of course the best part it’s all full hook up 🥰 and Sparta has a lot of nice places to eat and shop .

Great shooting location. Clearly, they have left routine maintenance fall behind, evidenced by rotting and falling signs all over the grounds. No investment yet on planting shade trees, which would be a great addition to a location often in the 90's during the summer. Still an awesome site to see a row of trap machines extending far beyond what the naked eye can see!

The WSRC is a wonderful outdoor experience. I'm removing one star from my first review because of the decay that is taking place as the facility ages. Many of the wood signs along Cardinal Road are rotting and falling off of the post. Cardinal Road itself is breaking up and the repair is just oil and chips. (This section of the road has been repaired and other much needed road maintenance is under way. There has also been a much needed improvement to the UTV trails behind the trap line using oil and chips. Much less dust and no mud. 8/2019)Honeysuckle bush (an invasive species) along with thorn trees and weeds are taking over the fields. No sign of reforestation with native trees or grasses. It's still a wonderful facility, but given it's present rate of decline, won't be for long. Hopefully the IDNR will give the facility more of the attention it deserves soon.
