The staff and location are excellent. I loved being close to downtown and everytime I spoke with the front desk or any other staff, they were hospitable and attentive. I really enjoyed my stay because they made it feel welcoming. The rooms are a little outdated and the fitness center is a little outdated too, but I will 100% stay again. It was clean, comfortable, affordable, and friendly. It was easy to get around downtown on foot too!

It was very accommodating to be there through thanksgiving with family close by in town, the only downsize is there was a big family above us the ran, jumped, screamed all the time till after 930 pm, if possible I would be placement of big family’s on bottom floor to help other long term guests that don’t need to hear it every night, other then that. Breakfast bar was very clean and kept clean( suggest a tip jar for employee/ she worked very hard and pleasant to all) thank you , will book again

Hotel is in a very nice industrial neighborhood with great walk ways and close to downtown. Room was spacious, quiet and clean, breakfast was simple but ok, staff was friendly.
The only downside was the dog fee, $35 per night is definitely too high.

The first room I had smelled musty and wasn't the one I wanted. I got changed to the correct room but the tub had grass and dirt in it and the room smelled like a zoo. I had left a day early because I was disgusted by the facility. I even bought the insurance so if I left early I could get a refund, which they did not acknowledge. The front desk lady was rude, kept rolling her eyes, sighing like I was burden in her presence. This is an awful place to stay, pay the extra money and go somewhere worth spending money on.

I have been coming to this property for the better part of 20 years, mostly while it was a choice hotel. It was the comfort Inn at Ship Creek. My other most recent stay was in March of 2024 for the Iditarod and since that time I cannot believe how much the property has gone downhill. Had I not arrived at, 1 AM after driving through icy roads from the first snowfall of the season, I would’ve left and gone somewhere else. Desk staff was helpful, but it was all downhill from there. I entered the room and as I started putting lights on, it almost looked like it was ransacked.
All of the lampshades were off kilter, one table lamp would have fallen on the floor had it not been caught by the drapes. There was hair in the shower, and one of the two beds had such stained bedding. It was almost as if housekeeping never went in the room, or if they had, how could they have left it in that state?!
It is very upsetting because I like the location of this property. It is easily walkable to downtown, but there’s no need to pay high parking rates to actually park at a hotel directly downtown.
Perhaps they are having trouble getting housekeeping, several area restaurants had signs that they were closed due to staffing.
There are easy fixes if they could spend some money and time to get housekeeping on the ball. If you havestained bedding, and you can’t get it clean, toss it. It’s a horrible first impression.

Not much good to say about our stay. Rooms were not clean carpets smelled and very stained. Free breakfast was hardly anything at all out of most items. Bags of trash in lobby of hotel. Terrible experience. It is close to the train station ? which was the only good thing. They kept the rooms terribly hot we had to figure out how to get the heat off and air on it was crazy calling front desk where it took forever for someone to answer.

I stayed about 8 days. The first room I was given smelled like an ashtray, the second had human between the sheets and dirty sheets, the third room which I occupied for a couple of days had lights over the sink that did not work, the bathroom door did not lock, the main light switch did not work the desk chair was broken, the charging station was filthy. I reported all that and requested that it be fixed. Nothing was done on the first day, nothing was done on the second after i spoke to the local manager. I then called Wyndham corporate expecting something to be done; after talking to several people being assigned a case number, their recommendation was to talk to the local people and get resolved at the hotel. After all, the noise I made about this, I was finally assigned a fourth room where things worked and were not broken but the carpet was dirty, the room did not smell fresh and on and on. To make a long story short, when you stay at this hotel expect Motel 6 quality and service at Wyndham prices. My recommendation is to book somewhere else, since this hotel does uphold Wyndham standards. Oh, and you do not get room serviced unless if you requested the day before. I finally got my sheets changed on the day before I left. I had to go get the towels myself. I can go on and on but do not have time to do so.

Let this review and the many other recent reviews of this hotel be a warning. My family and I have never had a worse hotel experience.||Our first room did not have reliable Wi-Fi, so staff moved us to a different room.||Both rooms were filthy from floor to ceiling. Stains and marks covered the walls; the bathroom floor was sticky; all lampshades in the room were deformed, dirty, and broken; the carpet baseboards were detached and hanging from the walls; the carpet was stained in many places and appeared not to have been vacuumed after the previous lodgers; and the bathtub was stained.|The second room only had about 1/8 of a roll of toilet paper, despite having just been serviced, so we got an extra roll from the service cart ourselves. The stopper in the bathroom sink of the second room did not work.| |At breakfast the following morning, the juice machine was out of commission; the yogurt had run out even though we were there early; the “hot” water for tea was simply warm tap water poured into a thermos, not boiled water (we could see the water source from our seat in the breakfast area); and the coffee was filled with grounds.||Worst of all, though, was the noise that kept us awake most of the night, despite the fact that we were wearing earplugs and had a noise machine running at high volume. At regular intervals every hour or two, from evening until morning, there was the sound of people talking and furniture being moved on a hard floor. We couldn’t tolerate a second sleepless night, which is why we checked out after just one day, even though we originally intended to stay much longer. ||Staff at the front desk insisted on billing us for a second night’s stay, telling me that only the manager could waive the charge. I asked to speak to the manager, but was told he was not yet available for the day. I have never before asked to speak to a hotel manager and would not have done that this time had hotel staff not directed me to him as the sole person with authority to assist me. I called back later that day but was told the manager had already left. Both of my attempts to speak with the manager that Friday were during business hours. ||After checking out, I called the hotel four times and even stopped back in person, just before leaving Alaska for home. I was left waiting for more than 30 minutes even though the manager was in his office, then was finally told by the desk staff that the manager now claimed that only the hotel owner could waive the charge for the second night. Not once did the manager actually speak to me. He passed messages through the staff, who appeared terribly overworked and harried. Also, I was never told how to contact the owner myself but was assured that the manager would do that. To date I have heard nothing from the manager and don’t expect to, given his appalling customer service. ||Wyndham customer service has provided very little help. First I was offered points. When I emphasized that I don't care about points but would prefer to be reimbursed for the night we didn't stay, customer service responded by offering more points. I wish I were joking. When I repeated for a second time that I don't care about points, I was told to take this up with the hotel manager -which, of course, I had tried to do at the very beginning! Now Wyndham customer service has gone completely silent. Appalling from beginning to end.
