We had two days of undisturbed peace and comfort here.

The Yurt is thoughtfully prepared and exceptionally maintained from the hot tub to the fireplace to the well-stocked kitchen. We stayed inside the entire trip and were not once disturbed - everything was quiet and conducive to relaxation. We cooked all our meals (Palace Market in town is not far and has a fantastic selection) without lacking for any utensils or cookware, had plenty of firewood to maintain a comfortable temperature, enjoyed the pristine hot tub each evening and slept very well on the medium-firm bed with soft pillows and comforter. The shower is lovely with great pressure, though the hot water does start to cool down after about 15 minutes.

We plan on coming back - ideally for a lot longer than a mid-week getaway. Highly, highly recommended!

The authentic and genuine nature of the hosts match the lovely oasis they have created in the yurt cottage. We stayed 2 nights during a full moon and a rainstorm and it was the perfect place to be: a view almost all around, a view of the moon overhead, a very perfectly hot hot tub, privacy, peace and quiet, yummy coffee and breakfast provided. It really doesn't get any better than this. Plus you have Pt Reyes at your doorstep. We kayaked and hiked and ate wonderful food in town, walking distance for folks who want to stay out of the car for a day. Perfect vacation!

During our stay at Pt Reyes we had two distinctive experiences. The first was getting to spend some time at Pt Reyes and the second was enjoying The Windsong Cottage. Pt Reyes was awesome and we'll definitely be back. However, getting to stay at The Windsong Cottage was a special treat and what really made our visit. The cottage is a masterpiece. I've always wanted to have a vacation home but The Windsong Cottage meets or exceeds everything that I'd ever thought about having in my fantasy vacation home. My overall feeling is gratitude to the owners for creating this masterpiece and allowing the rest of us to use it. I really hope we have the opportunity to go there again. But my wife tells me that you have to book well in advance… sigh…

I want to carry on about everything that's awesome about the cottage… there are so many things… here are a few… It's well stocked with fun stuff to eat. My wife wants me to rave about the English muffins… along with the jam/jelly samples and butter… they also left us a bowl of eggs in the refrigerator… there were so many little, thoughtful flourishes that totally weren't lost on us. Some train of thought recollections... They provided Saran Wrap for covering our To Go stuff in the refrigerator. There was a delightful assortment of books from which to browse. And how could I write anything without mentioning the hot tub… What an absolute delight… the furnishings are nicer than what we have in our house. And everything was amazingly clean and well maintained… I loved the tile work in the shower… Even took a photo of it… Another nice touch was having a bench right there at the entryway for putting on your shoes… there was an abundance of electrical outlets and I loved the blooming lavender just out the window. It was a mystery as to how they were blooming at this time of year. I've only just scratched the surface. I really do hope that we can get reservations to stay there again… I have no interest in staying anywhere else in the Pt Reyes area. Finally, we'd both like to express our gratitude this wonder together and letting us use it.

My wife and I loved staying in this super cool and unique cottage. The yurt had everything we needed and was very clean and comfortable. Easy to find and a very private and quiet location. Just a short drive to Point Reyes Station and the National Seashore. Perfect spot for relaxing or a base for day trips around Point Reyes and West Marin County. Our host, Tony, introduced himself on our second day, otherwise we didn't see other people. Tony was very quick in responding to emails and took care of our reservation right away. The hot tub was a nice feature, the weather was too warm for a fire, but there is a nice little wood stove for chilly winter nights. We will definitely be back on our next trip to the coast.

Could never say enough about how wonderful our stay was. Spent the day walking trails and beaches then found our welcome retreat at the Windsong Cottage yurt. Full-moon lit night was perfect for relaxing in the hot tub followed by a restful night in the incredibly comfortable bed. Coffee, english muffins, fresh fruit, eggs, and juice already in the the kitchen got us going for the next day's adventures as we took in the beautiful view. Highly recommended.

The Windsong Cottage is the yurt of my dreams. Clean and perfectly appointed, it has a view of Tomales Bay. The wood burning stove was ready to light and made for a wonderfully cozy and romantic evening. Plus, it is just down the road from Heidrun Meadery, which is the perfect stop after getting amazing local cheeses in Pt. Reyes Station. The wonderful evening of cheese and fruit and wine was topped off to perfection with a relaxing float in the hot tub leading to the best sleep snuggled in the comfortable bed. I didn't want to leave!

This was a great find! What a beautiful view inside and out! Very clean and comfortable to stay in. Lots of great amenities and Tony (the caretaker) even makes sure you have food items to make breakfast! It's a lovely touch! Loved it overall and would recommend it to my friends who never stayed in a yurt. Especially loved the private hot tub outside.

Many reviews already highlighted the interesting aspects of this Yurt cottage build in the early nineties by Bonnie Raitt's brother. Tony, the owner has kept the yurt up to date and comfortable for guests. ||||The bed is fabulous and the shower great. Just sitting outside is a pleasure. We enjoyed the jacuzzi too! Tony provides fresh milk, eggs and orange juice in the fridge. Awesome. ||||The yurt offers a very comfy sofa and a kitchen. ||||From the yurt one can stroll down to the main road and explore the surroundings. ||||Point Reyes station is just 5-10 minutes away offering a small variety of restaurants but one can definitely enjoy a great dinner here. We surely enjoyed our dishes at the Station House Cafe (recommended). ||||We were on our motorcycle with trailer and the road to the Yurt is unpaved and a bit bumpy here and there but absolutely no issue to get there in one piece. ||||From Point Reyes Station we decided to ride St. Francis Drake Boulevard all the way to the highest point to the Point Reyes lighthouse. We were just too late so it was closed. The road is absolutely beautiful but very curvy and bumpy (potholes) at times. For Motorcycles one has to know that it can also be very windy here! While riding this road, temperatures dropped and the clouds because thicker and thicker. It actually became a bit of an adventure. It was cold! We saw many deer too.
