8/2023 Amazing experience, wonderful hosts, quant cottage, the best breakfast during our trip to Alaska. The hosts tour of his home and all his collectables was a real treat. We could not have started our journey without all of the knowledge and experience he was able to provide us with. The cottage is a place you could stay days, weeks, and months and never want to leave. The waterfront is at your back porch, and the sunsets to die for. We were not there long enough and would stay 100 times over for the nature, tranquility, and ability to take day adventures and come home at night to enjoy the end of the day.

Loved staying here! Beautiful cabin and view from the back porch of the lake and distant mountains. Our accommodations were excellent and well thought out. Jim & Linda were incredibly nice and went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome. The sourdough pancakes at breakfast were so delicious, and we really enjoyed getting to know such wonderful, interesting people, with so many good stories to tell us. We highly recommend this lovely place for anyone passing through the area. We would definitely stay here again!

Wow what a place! The cabin is lovely (and hand built by Jim which is amazing), the views are gorgeous, and the hosts are wonderful! Jim and Linda took great care of us, including adjusting breakfast for dietary restrictions and letting us pet their adorable puppy. Jim has so many cool stores to tell about his 40 years of living in Alaska and the many experiences and adventures therein. Definitely recommend going here, and if you’re needing lunch or dinner, we loved Nummy’s (recommended by Jim) for good food and an adorable cat.

Stayed here for one night on our way to McCarthy. Wished we could have stayed longer. Jim & Linda are gracious hosts and we enjoyed visiting with them very much. Their guest cabin is comfortable and right on the lake. Could have sat on the porch for hours! We enjoyed meeting their new pup too! They own a rich history of Alaska and are happy to share it. |The cabin had everything we needed and breakfast was very nice. Would stay again!

What a truly delightful place to stay! Only one cabin, very private, tranquil, and relaxing. The cabin is right on the lake and we loved spending time there watching the ducks and reading our books. We spent two nights there…first one after leaving Valdez, and the second after exploring McCarthy/Kennecott. It was perfectly located, super clean, and extremely comfortable. Jim and Linda are truly delightful with fun Alaska stories. The breakfast was delicious, too! We enjoyed sourdough pancakes the first day and eggs with moose sausage the second day. Jim made the sausage himself from a moose he harvested and it was SO GOOD! Everything about this place is fantastic!

The Willow Lake B&B is a great place to stay! It was our favorite lodging of our 2 week trip to Alaska. The cabin is wonderful - so comfortable, has everything you need & is beautifully decorated. Jim & Linda were so hospitable and just lovely people to talk with! It was an all-around wonderful place & experience! Highly highly recommend!

The cabin is amazing. Jim and Linda put so much love and attention to detail that it just warms your heart when you walk in. It’s a great location for day trips to Lake Louise, Tok, Paxton Lake, Delta Junction and Valdez. The breakfasts are really good, especially the moose sausage and the rhubarb bread. The best part is visiting with Jim and Linda. Loved the conversations!

Wonderful experience, Mr. Jim and Mrs. Linda were wonderful, and accommodating. Breakfast time turned into an hour long discussions about any and everything. The cabin was warm and cozy, with an Alaskan feel. I could have stayed more than the week I was there.
