Great Service even with a huge crowd and every seat full! The food is yummy, but the ice cream carries the menu and is so much fun! Also, so many seats available. We came in with over 20 and there was plenty of outdoor seating despite them being slammed!

I have loved this place so much but today I called in an order for a double burger with pepperjack cheese, chrispy bacon, extra, extra onions and pickles with tater tots. I told them I had been ill with asthma 2 weeks and needed a good burger. I arrived to pick up my food, paid over $15, she even told me she had told them extra pickles and onions, which I thanked her for remembering. I drove home only to discover no pickles, no onions, no pepperjack cheese. I called her back to explain I was the lady sick with asthma who just picked up my order, which I repeated to her. She said yes, extra pickles and onions. I said yes. I told her my burger had no pickles, onions and no pepperjack cheese. She insisted it did, that they made it correctly. She said sorry but I was quite upset after getting out of bed to go get it. She said what can I do? I said "I'm sick and not going back into the wind again". I asked for the manager. She said she was the manager. I asked if they could write down my name and remake the burger for me next time. She just had no response. I again asked for a manager but never got one. So I thanked her and said I'll post a review and perhaps the owner will reach out. I was so looking forward to the burger I ordered...

You will love this place. It's like a blast from the past!!!
Great food, fabulous ice-cream concoctions, and the staff is friendly and ready to please ( make sure you tip these hard working young' ins).
The patty melt was great, so was the pulled pork sandwich.
Try the turtle Sunday you'll love it.

White Cottage is a Belleville favorite, the perfect place to eat some tasty ice cream. I've been visiting White Cottage since I played little league baseball just a few blocks from the restaurant. It's the perfect place to go after any event for a cheap treat and/or meal.

In the summer, the staff often set out a water bowl for patrons' dogs. There's ample outdoor seating as they just enlarged the patio (and the parking lot). I love the unique ice cream flavors offered like cotton candy, cinnamon, and banana. I also appreciate the vintage vibe inside with the 1950s American diner-feel, though that could be enhanced. Also, quarts of various ice cream flavors are available for purchase to take home.

On my most recent visit, we came for dinner on a Friday during Lent and enjoyed their fried cod. It was tasty, though I would have enjoyed it more with lemon wedges. They very well may have had lemons, but I didn't ask. :/ 🐟🍋

My only complaint is that they don't have a pinball machine inside anymore. I'd spend a lot more time and money at White Cottage if that was still there.

There are so many things that are good about White Cottage but also bad things. I am not trying to be rude here but the prices are higher and the ice cream is not the best. But on the other hand the food is delicious and everyone is so nice and caring to all the customers. If I were to go somewhere to eat this is definitely one of my choices. The ice cream is good just not one of the best but again that is my opinion. A lot of people might disagree but I think for the amount of food we get it could be cheaper but I love supporting a small business so I love going here for food and sometimes ice cream. But I hope this helps all the people out there.

Stopped in for later dinner and was delicious and had some dessert too was excellent as well!! Must try here in belleville area!!! Ice cream selections can change but excellent every single time!!! Try it you'll love it!!!

Been here before for ice cream and treats. But today I decided to try the Cottage burger and it was fantastic. Very thick good quality burgers tasty and juicy and not over cooked. Also got a side of fries and cheese sauce, Which I wasn't the biggest fan of the cheese sauce was a little basic but not the worse I've had for sure. They have great food and great treats alike so it is a great choice no matter what ur after!!!!!!

I've been going here a lot of years, but all the changes they made and didn't make in the last few years has really made this place even better. Tonight I got my favorite ice cream, a really rare flavor and treat: Spumoni. It was perfect. So good, I even bought a pint to bring home!
