This is an excellent medium sized botanic gardens! Paved pathways. Shaded with mature trees. Nice waterway in the middle flowing through. Lots of seating to sit and relax, enjoy the birds and beautiful scenery. Flowers blooming. Sculptures throughout. Children's Garden. So peaceful and such a nice peaceful pretty garden. Small gift shop. Very helpful friendly staff. New construction on their event center in progress. Adjust to a different entry at this time.

Stunning fall day! There are so many beautiful things to see, even with some construction on new areas. We were a little disappointed the shed in the children’s area was closed, but I suppose spring and summer are a more ideal time to visit for that. We have a membership for Fernwood Botanical Garden and were able to get 2 admissions with their reciprocity program. Admission prices for kids were very reasonable. We can’t wait to visit again!

Wellfield Botanic Gardens is the perfect spot to unwind and take in some beauty. The landscaped beds are gorgeous, and the promenade makes for a great walk, especially when you need to get out and clear your head. I visited during one of their seasonal events, and the holiday light displays were absolutely stunning—definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area around the holidays. I spent about $15 for admission, but it was totally worth it for the peaceful vibes and amazing scenery. The gift shop was cute too, with some nice local finds. Whether you’re a plant lover or just looking for a chill afternoon, this place has you covered.

The visit today to Wellfield Gardens was to celebrate A Taste of Elkhart.
The beautiful background of the garden hosted this event to sample food from restaurants in the area and enjoy music from The Whistle Pigs Band and 1985.
The flowers, trees, water and landscaping are also a part of the enjoyment of this event.

The Wellfield gardens are beautiful. Everything is well kept, and all of the staff we encountered were friendly and knowledgeable. There are plenty of areas to sit and enjoy nature, including many secluded nooks in the shade. There is a children's garden- definitely a great place for a fun and educational trip for the family.
There is a very large new visitor center under construction, so some areas are currently closed off until the end of 2024. However, this did not detract from our visit.

I grew up swimming here and used to use the trees as bridges before it became what it is today. Now, as an adult, I get to bring my kids here to experience the beauty of nature. I became a member because I love how family-friendly it is, and the staff and visitors are always so kind. It’s truly a special place that brings back memories while creating new ones with my kids.

My family and I came here the other night to check out the Christmas lights before they close for the season and it was a wonderful experience. We had so much fun looking at the lights and walking around taking photos and videos. If you’re looking for a fun family filled activity in the winter, you need to go check out their winter fest. I’ll def be back in the summer to check out the gardens too!
