Was really looking forward to grabbing a bite at the Village Cafe this afternoon after a long morning of fishing. When we walked in, we were told to sit wherever and got pointed off to a corner out of the way. We sat there for a good 10 minutes — no one came by, no menus, no drink orders, not even a hello. Feeling pretty invisible and hungrier by the minute, we decided to head out and find somewhere else to eat. As we were leaving, the same waitress who pointed us to our seats just watched us walk out without saying a word. Pretty disappointing.

Would love to have sat down, had a great meal and touch base with the family on wifi .. but we walked in to a grouchy server telling us to "sit amywhere" then we sat .. and sat ..and sat...She never came back!! Tried to wifi, but didn't want to make an account to be charged to use it. 10 minutes later, still no server. This is in an empty restaurant folks! We just left. Currently in a cozy Mexican restaurant in Bridgeport Chiles y Milagros.. 15 min drive for incredible service and cell service to get in touch with family.

When you're visiting Twin Lakes the Village Cafe has a full menu, friendly staff, and good food. The lakes are full. The fishing is good. Come on over!

I had a burger, which was good...over priced was my first impression yet wanted to give it a shot again. The amount of fries seemed like a small portion. My suggestion would be price for a single and double or put 2 sides for the price, would've been more reasonable. I've eaten here over the years and can't say it has ever stood out maybe if i stayed at the campground and got to know the workers my impressions may shift. Your paying for the ambience to over look the lake and people watch. Friendly people and typical service for a restaurant.

If you want a burger that is the right price and down right delicious, go to The Barn in Bridgeport. The owner is a sweet lady and knows all the locals.

They have the best food here. We have eaten lunch and dinner here and each meal has been the best! Service is top notch. Although it is out of the way it is well worth the drive. If you are camping it is a must!
