We had a wonderful stay at the Villa Montes Hotel in San Bruno, CA. The staff was attentive, friendly, and always available. The room was spacious and had exceptionally beautiful furniture. The underground parking was convenient and kept us out of the rain. The breakfast was delicious with waffles, cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, toast, orange juice, and coffee among other items. A super hotel we look forward to visiting again.

Being so close to the airport was super nice. It's definitely a different vibe and the parking was weird but nice not having to pay for it like every other hotel in the area. Front desk was super nice and the room was clean. Couldn't have asked for more for the price honestly.

Pro's: relatively near the airport, cost effective, comfortable bed and pillows.

Con's: NO airport shuttle, as of Jan 2025, info on the internet saying they hae one is wrong. Uber for 3 miles was $30 bc of Airport tax. Rooms are old looking, but clean -- but a lack of accessible outlets, no USBs. Breakfast was poor: a bunch of carbs and yogurt, no protein (not even a hard-boiled egg).

Love this little hotel in San Bruno. When family are in town I put them up at that location and they have fun. The staff is amazing and always ready to help. Can’t wait for the cafe to open.

My favorite place in town to stay. Its clean and beautiful inside. Rooms are comfortable and luxurious. Its located close to SFO and several restaurants. There is a mall just a few blocks north.

Positive: Very comfortable and spacious room, great staff. Negative: Unfortunately the pool and sauna area is closed. If they had been open I would rate our experience a 10.

Very disappointed. Don’t be fooled by the pictures. They have a lot of decor to make it look classy but they do not focus on the details most hotels do. The sheets and towels have holes in them. I’ve never been to a hotel with holes in the sheets and towels and I travel monthly. The metal decor in the restroom is rusting. The shower curtain has stains on it. The curtains are torn. The pillow cases are dirty. They are stingy with their towels only giving you the bare minimum. We asked for more and the desk agent reluctantly gave us 1 more set. We also asked them to change the sheets and shower curtain. They said they would but did not do it. Do not stay here. You get what you pay for. It may seem highly rated for a decent price and look classy but it’s basically lipstick on a pig. It would be better to pay the higher rate of most highly rated hotels in the San Francisco Oakland area than to be tricked into thinking you are getting a great deal with this.

This is very much a boutique place. The location to SFO is one of the best qualities. Also close to Bart and Cal trains as well. The rooms are old but have charm. I personally liked it. Breakfast is your basic breakfast. The service was also top notch. Would definitely stay again.
