Beautiful old mansion overlooking the Mississippi River on a high bluff. The owner traveled throughout the Middle East and built a Moorish mansion in Quincy, Illinois. Very cool place to visit.

I enjoyed the location and the story. Disappointed that there was so little history left due to renovations and changing hands over the years. Stunning view over the Mississippi though and everybody there was super nice.

Beautiful piece of history. $3 to take a small tour. Very helpful staff, Ray was very pleasant. Little gift shop and free pamphlets for the immediate and surrounding areas.

I drove well out of my way to see this. Both the online hours posted and the website said they would be open. No one here.

Was closed for the season but is a unique look for the area and is on a high bluff looking over the Mississippi river. Restrooms on site but are closed for the winter months

What a beautiful, historic building right on the river in Quincy. The lovely guide inside the museum was also a delight and an inspiration! Glad that I stopped by.

Had a rather unfortunate experience, but I showed up during listed opening hours and nobody was there. I checked hours on Google Maps, the website, and even called. There was a sign saying it was open, but the lights were out and the doors locked.
