5 stars across the board! Don was an incredible host and made sure we felt settled in right away. Gina was so sweet, and the grounds were immaculate—very clean, well-maintained, and stocked with everything we needed. This is such a hidden gem. This mansion is gorgeous, and every little touch matters. We have stayed here twice, and it was AMAZING both times. Fresh made breakfast, relaxing hot tub, the most comfortable beds I have ever slept in, and cozy fireplaces. Lots of yummy snack options and plenty of places to curl up with a good book to relax. The owner and the staff here are top notch.

My wife and I recently stayed at the Villa to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. We honeymooned in Italy thirty years ago, but did not have the opportunity to return this year. While looking for a place to celebrate, we discovered the Villa and fell in love with the idea of staying in an Italian Villa in Chicago. It was a magical getaway. The facilities. The food. The staff. Our daughter now lives in Chicago. We can’t wait to stay at the Villa again when we visit her.

5/5 all the way! We loved Villa Citta. The owners are super responsive and went out of their way to make our stay amazing. It is a beautiful BnB. The furnishings, comfort, spaces, are all done with extreme care. It is clear they take great pride in this place. The selection of free snacks and breakfast in the kitchen makes you feel you are staying at a generous friend’s home. Will definitely stay here again. Thank you!

We had the most amazing stay at Villa D' Citta. The room was wonderfully equipped and beautifully furnished. The breakfast was delicious and snacks and drinks were available all day long. At night sitting outside in the patio drinking wine they provide was so special. I love the staff and owners! This is my new home away from home everytime I visit Chicago.

My wife and I have stayed at Villa D' Citta several times and have always had a great experience. On our most recent stay we were only in one night to see a show at Steppenwolf Theatre. The mansion house was wonderfully decorated for the holidays. Upon our arrival we treated ourselves to some home made banana bread and a small glass of complimentary red wine. Our room was ready even though we arrived prior to regular check-in time. The instructions we received for letting ourselves in were very easy to follow. The introductory video emailed to us the day before was also very helpful. We stayed in the Venetian Suite, which was very nice and had direct access to the second level deck and hot tub. Breakfast in the morning was spectacular.
We highly recommend Villa D' Citta to anyone traveling to Chicago, even if coming in for one night from the suburbs. It is a real treat, especially during the holidays.

We had an excellent stay in the Grand Tuscan Suite with the additional bonus of wonderful host. To stay overnight in a Chicago Mansion was fabulous and romantic experience for my husband's birthday. We found street parking, which I know can be a headache. We were able to walk to Summer House nearby without the hassle or reparking.
