During my stay at the Valley Hotel in Homewood, I was greeted by Rod Clark with PMC, I believe he is the manager of valet but he definitely didn’t act like one, he welcomed me professionally and made me feel like the hotel was waiting on my arrival. Extended an offer to assist with my luggage, gave me dinner reservations as well as when I saw him the next day he followed up with my meal. Once he left, Ariel was just as helpful. Offered to come help with my luggage, offered bottles of water and made sure I came back to visit. It’s the little things that matter and PMC at the Valley Hotel should be getting their praise because every time I come, I am always greeted by smiling faces like Ms. Annette, and Gene. This time was extra special and I wanted to make sure that Rod and Ariel got their praise, and hopefully a raise!

Hotel was very nice and the Restaurant/Bar was excellent however charging $15 daily to Self Park is total BS and petty considering the room rate. It is petty enough that I will find another hotel next time I visit. Sorry. There is a difference between paying for quality and then just being ripped off even if only $15, hence the one star rating.

Where to begin. The staff...outstanding, friendly and knowledgeable. The room...super comfortable and clean. The restaurant...OMG!!! The food was divine!!!! A wonderful stay!!! I will definitely have this hotel on my radar for my next trip to Birmingham!

Pricey stay was very disappointing: the room safe did not work, the toilet seat was falling apart, the shower grout had quite a bit of mold, the refrigerator rocked quite a bit every time I opened/closed the door, the cabinet door to access the fridge was sticking/difficult to open, it required significant force to open the door to the room, and then I found out that the room door was not latching when we left the room, and there was not a spare roll of toilet paper in the room. I do not recommend staying at this hotel.

My wife and I attended a wine dinner featuring Rombauer Vineyards and a wonderful four-course dinner at Ironwood. My wife’s cousins joined us with husband/significant other. We had a great group at our table including the gentleman from Rombauer hosting the wine dinner. Excellent presentation describing the four wines and grape varietals. And kudos to the restaurant staff and chef. Service was impeccable and the food selections complemented each course. A very enjoyable evening. We will certainly come back to Ironwood for dinner and their next wine dinner.

Hosted a Venue here. Highly recommend. The crew was awesome. The place was one of the cleanest. And in walking distance of all the activities... Only one minor issue. The rolling luggage carts upfront 3 of 4 we're flat making it difficult to move my luggage around....

Lovely hotel which is lacking in customer service. It's a 4 star hotel but 'guests' are only entitled to two complimentary bottles of water on the first night! After that you need to buy them. The beds were made on the first night, after that beds not made or changed........and we stayed for 10 nights. I did ask for the beds to be made but to no avail. Unacceptable in my opinion, especially for a 4 star hotel. Also had to ask for toilet paper and paper tissues at the front desk as none in the room. Soap dispensers don't work very well in the shower so we had to bring our own. Television worked a bit.

Asked for breakfast menu at the restaurant reception desk.....it had fish and chips on it......the lady at the desk seemed fine with this. Quite clearly the lunch menu. The next day there was a really nice lady on the desk and she gave us the breakfast menu. There was also a nice gentleman serving that day.
The lady at the coffee bar is also very nice and did give us free lattes to make up for the lack of toilet paper and tissues in our room.

If the customer service had been up to scratch, it would be reasonably priced. Unfortunately due to the things mentioned above, it is overpriced and I would advise anyone thinking about staying at The Valley to have a good look at other options in the area.

If I could leave a 0, I would. This was the worst restaurant experience of my life. I just wanted to take myself on a nice date and grab a salad before heading to a friends for dinner. I sat at the bar alone and ordered a $13 glass of wine and a Caesar salad that was $28….i thought the price for what I got was laughable considering my little sister could make that salad if she wanted to. But I let all that go and enjoyed my food, paid, and left. I was nice and polite and everything. My bill was $46 total. I left a small tip bc that’s what I felt like tipping. I then wake up three days later to another charge on my account from them for $22. So they charged me $68 for a lousy salad and a mediocre glass of wine. I called the restaurant and they told me they can’t pull up my information without the exact total of what I ordered. I CALL BS. I’ve worked for restaurants and this is wrong. I WILL be resolving this. They are being less than helpful which leads me to believe that this was intentional and fraud. DO NOT EAT HERE. THE FOOD ISNT EVEN WORTH IT. WHAT A JOKE.
