Incredible Experience at Urban Baths!

Urban Baths is an absolute must-visit! From the moment I walked in, I was blown away by how clean, serene, and well-designed the space is. Everything is thoughtfully maintained, creating the perfect environment to relax and recharge.

The staff is beyond friendly and helpful, making the entire experience smooth and enjoyable. They’re knowledgeable and genuinely care about making sure every guest has a great time.

One of the best parts? The cold plunge! Easily the most underrated part of the experience, and I can’t recommend it enough. It perfectly balances the heat from the saunas and steam room, making the entire session more refreshing and energizing. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out!

The location is super convenient and easy to access, making it effortless to fit a visit into any schedule. Urban Baths has officially become part of my weekly self-care routine, and I can’t wait to go back!

Urban Baths Folsom is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped through the door, I was enveloped in a serene atmosphere that instantly melted away my stress. The variety of experiences offered—like the soothing soak, invigorating cold plunge, and tranquil sauna—made for a perfect day of relaxation and rejuvenation.

I particularly loved the lounge area, where I could unwind & simply enjoy some peaceful solitude. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my visit was seamless. I also appreciated the thoughtful rotation between silent and social spaces, which allowed for a calm environment that truly enhances the overall experience.

The highlight of my visit was the most amazing 1-hour massage I received from Christian. His technique was exceptional, and I felt completely renewed afterward.

The vibe here is all about slowing down and reconnecting with yourself, and I left feeling not only relaxed but also revitalized. If you're looking for a place to recharge and indulge in self-care, I can’t recommend Urban Baths Folsom enough. I can’t wait to return!

I have been here twice and am already planning another visit. The people are welcoming, the space exquisite, and the experience completely relaxing. When my coworker/friend asked if I’d go with her, at first I had my reservations. Because “bath house” has gotten a tarnished reputation. But this place is not weird or creepy at all. It is the complete opposite of that. Everyone acts appropriately and respectfully. The two times I went were on a Friday, and there were maybe 4-5 other people present. I have heard weekends are busier. So, if you’re looking for a relaxing and replenishing place to clear your mind and care for your soul, this place is it!

Open since April 2024 according to the woman at the front desk. This is a franchise of Asha Urban Baths in Sac. Marketing seems to be a little slow. I didn’t know it existed until a week ago when a friend recommended it to me to help with an undue amount of stress from work and home. Asha seems to have a well established following and it’s hard to get a same-day appointment on a Saturday whereas Folsom had a plethora of appointment times. This may be a good thing for your first time or if you don’t like crowds. It was clean and I loved the smells of the two body washes. Bring two of your own towels if you want to save $3 for the towel rental. - one for sitting on in the steam room and sauna and one clean one for drying off at the end. Co-ed, swim suits required, dim lights so you’re not on full display, co-ed locker room with individual dressing rooms. Large hot pool and cold plunge pool that’s hard to be quiet when entering. Check the website for different types of experiences: whisper, silent, social, etc. You get a free key to a locker to store your phone, clothes, car keys etc. Three stars as they have room for improvement: the front desk staff walked me into the locker room and showed me the lockers and the changing room and then left. I would have liked a tour of the place before I got in my suit. It didn’t take long to figure out on my own but a quick tour of the whole facility would have calmed my newbie anxiety. I also came alone which ended up being what I needed. I was the only woman alone during my two hours, maybe 3 individual men, 4 couples, 1 or 2 dad and son combos, a group/family of 4 women, 3 (two persons friend combos). Felt safe. I did ask if there was a best or recommended (scientific way to choose order and length of stay in each room/pool. Got the response whatever your
prefer. I know there’s research out there. I would have liked to have seen them educated and share their knowledge especially when they said you pay after so you can decide on the tip. Not those exact words but I caught their drift. I’m all for tipping but all the service I got was a key and escort to the locker room. Still guilted into tipping a bit by the credit card kiosk. Won’t be guilted again. Staff were friendly and I will return. I hope this feedback will improve their service as they continue to establish their business. $45 for two hours in Folsom. Asha in Sac is $39 but charges $5 for towel rental instead of $3.

Bummed about this. I had high expectations and was expecting a luxury spa day and was disappointed.
1) The building was freezing, didn’t even want to change into a bathing suit
2) Massage area was freezing
3) The atmosphere tried to be earthly and warm, with Himalayan salt and Buddha’s, but it didn’t do the job. It was not cozy at all.
4) It felt like they cut corners making the location, the floors were plywood and curtains were hung so I could see all the cleaning supplies
5) Paid over $300 for 2 massages and they were BELOW average.
Maybe my expectation was too high, I was expecting luxury for the price.

The entire staff was very friendly, but the atmosphere was very disappointing. The temperature was a chilling 65° (guessing) and they were using small space heaters in a failed attempt to warm up the massage rooms. My masseuse was a real sweetheart, but the massage felt more like a body rub than a massage.
As we were lead to the massage area, we walked through a hallway that stored all the cleaning supplies that were exposed on shelves that had no doors. It felt like we were walking through a janitorial room.
We felt like it was a waste of $300 for which we were very disappointed.

My wife just got us a massage here followed by two hours access to the sauna, cold plunge pool and hot tub. Wow. I have never felt so relaxed in my life. I'll never get a normal massage again. Being able to sweat it out after the massage then cold plunge was so refreshing.

After a traditional massage I feel thrown out into the hot sun and not relaxed immediately after. After this massage I got to relax for two hours in a beautiful calming environment. Best experience ever. I didn't even mention how nice and professional the staff is. Can't wait to come back.

The ambiance is relaxing. There's a large warm pool and a cold plunge that can fit several people. The staff is excellent and helpful. Great place to visit to unwind. I recommend the DIY Facial kit at the end of your session. It comes with spray that you spray in the steam room, followed by a face mask. Once the mask dries, you wash it off in the shower and use the oil to hydrate your face.
