The staff at Unwind were very kind! They were able to accommodate my girls and I for a bachelorette spa day! They explained everything thoroughly for some of the girls that have never been to get a massage before. They allowed us to bring a snack and drink to help celebrate. It was very clean and had such a home-like vibe to it. Overall, it was such a good vibe and an amazing day. I’m so glad my girls chose Unwind as our bachelorette spa day place!

It was amazing. For a first time massage I wasn't sure what to expect. I went here with my partner last night and I'm still at a loss for words. The whole experience was relaxing, melodic, and calming. I don't think I'll be taking my business anywhere else but here and this will definitely be a yearly thing for us. The staff were professional and courteous. Very welcoming and helpful. Lastly, the atmosphere is wonderful and their salt room looks like it could have been pulled right from a movie 🎥🍿.

Unwind truly is a hidden gem. I've gotten massages at many different places over the years. Not just in Illinois but in California, Korea, China, Japan, Bali, Thailand, New Zealand, Hawaii, etc. And I have to say, the ambiance in this place is one of the best if not THE best I've been to. The only places that I feel comes close to Unwind is one or two places we went to in Bali, but I'm tempted to say that this place was better that those. I was laughing to myself after my massage there when I told my husband "You know, I've traveled to all these difference places and gone to spas and saunas all over, but low and behold I go back home to the Illinois Valley and I unexpectedly find the best massage place I could find".

Yes, it is a bit pricey for the area. There are other places I used to go to in the Illinois Valley that cost less than here. BUT... they really give you your money's worth. They go above and beyond what you would get at any ol' massage place. You have to plan to spend a decent amount of time there. They really help you slow down. Chill out. They don't care about you getting in and out quick so they can get the next person in. They TRULY want you to "unwind". And that's what makes it so worth it.

Highly recommend Tommy Thorson!! Absolutely amazing, very kind and professional. He knows exactly the right pressure and angles to get to right where it is needed. He takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable at all times. He is definitely in the profession he is meant to be in. The venue is very clean, warm, and inviting. Very satisfied client and will continue to book with him! ❤️

Unwind was amazing! I've been to spa's before and gotten massages and Unwind is the BEST of all of them. Massage was by Gretchen and she did amazing. After that I spent some time in the sauna which was so relaxing. Last, I did the float tank. I've never been in a float tank before and It was one of the coolest things. You can choose music or silence, lights or no lights. I chose silence and no lights. It was so peaceful and exactly what I needed. I highly recommend Unwind!

My boyfriend and I went to Starved Rock last July and we found a really great spa near by called Unwind at Westclox. The owner Abby was super nice and accommodating. They were to be closed when we wanted to come in and being a weekend trip we didn't have many choices on time. She allowed us to come during their closed hours to get massages, infrared sauna, and the float tank. We had a great experience! If we are ever in the area again I know we will be back. Thanks Abby!

This place is absolutely AMAZING! If you need to go to any spa or just need some “me” time, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GO! Abby (I believe she is the owner) is very present in the spa, which you don’t see often. She is so detailed when explaining everything, she will take her time and make sure you have no unanswered questions. She genuinely wants you to enjoy your spa day. (Normally people just want your money, not here!) Jessie who did my massage, was absolutely amazing! She is very gentle, tells you what she’s doing during the massage and tells you her thoughts during the reiki massage. Very personable and highly recommend her to anyone! You almost feel like your in your own home, that’s how comfortable and how comforting they are to you to make you feel like you are a VIP! 10 stars if I could.

Sooo, I’ve been waiting to write this review for awhile because I am sure once word gets out about how amazing this spa is everyone will flood in and I’ll have to plan further ahead to book an appointment (I know that was super selfish 🙁 ). However, this is the BEST MOST RELAXING WONDERFULLY DECORATED AND APPOINTED SPA I have ever been to. I have been to several other spas in Southern Illinois & a beautiful place in Wisconsin. Nothing really compared to the atmosphere at Unwind. They have something for everyone from emotional support to the healing infrared sauna and many more services. The attention to detail and peacefulness had me walking out completely stress free; and let’s face it we are all a bit stressed. It’d be wrong of me to keep this secret any longer. The price is a little higher than expected but plan to spend 2.5 hours of relaxation when booking your 60 minute signature massage because they take their time and truly care about your wellness. Last but most definitely not least is Abby she is an incredibly bright spirited soul and will make sure your experience is top notch. If there are other people out there who are patrons to this spa and have had similar experiences I hope you write a review for this business. It just seems wrong that Unwind does not have more reviews on google. I google almost every new business I visit and know there are paid writers out there...but it still makes an impact on my opinion irregardless. They really are outstanding and I love and appreciate what they are doing.
