Well, well, well, every once in a while I have the pleasure of discovering a real GEM. Uncle Mick's Cajun Market & Cafe is, without a doubt, one of the best and most charming restaurants I have ever been too. The food is just perfect in every way and the Mickey and Lacey were incredibly friendly and helpful and made it feel like home.

It is a very rare occasion that you find perfect food, staff and atmosphere all at once - - this is the place. I have written 100s of restaurant reviews from all over the USA and Canada and this restaurant is my new #1. Yes, it's that good !!

Uncle Mick's Cajun Market & Cafe gets my 10/10 and the highest recommendation possible.

I visited here for the first time, after seeing an advertisement from on the side of the interstate. Restaurant was super clean and staff was eager and ready to answer questions, even about allergies. All food was fresh and hot. Food was delicious. I had sausage and chicken gumbo and a delicious caramel cake which disappointingly they ran out of when we were ready to order seconds. The front seating area is rather small and by the door which can kinda be distracting but other than that, good trip. I would recommend.

Food was mostly delicious but erred on being too salty... the cornbread is to die for as was the shrimp a la creme (?) Will go back, but won't get the salty stuff...

First time and staff was extraordinarily friendly. Gave us samples to see what dishes we'd like and made recommendations based on feed back. It was delicious food, generous portions for price. One of my favorite meals in the state! If I’m in the area, I’m going here. My favorite is the shrimp a la crème on top of the dirty rice - delicious! Tried the potato salad for the first time and it’s also good. This place is consistently good and the staff is so friendly! If you’ve never been just let them know and you can sample anything before making your selection. Also, the owner came by and checked on us. I love that - I didn’t catch his name but can only assume he’s ’Uncle Mick.’ He runs a fine business. Go support them if you’re local. Don’t skip the pie!!!

This is my favorite spot in Prattville! The food is always incredible. The dirty rice is packed with flavor. The shrimp a la creme and the gumbo are my favorites. The portions are huge and the price is reasonable. This place is a 10 out 10. The decor has personality, and the vibes are 10/10. The dessert options are also great. Stop by for some creole flavors when passing through.
