The room was very clean and so nice. I did not know I was getting a full kitchen. I also liked the table that seated 4. The bed was very comfortable. Very spacious room. It was quiet even though it was close to the freeway. The free breakfast was amazing (bacon, sausage, eggs, waffles, cereal, bagels, etc.). I would definitely stay here again!

We usually stay here when we go to Merced. This weekend we’ve experienced a small situation in the parking lot however, the staff here was extremely helpful specially Evelyn. She was very understanding of the situation and was extremely accommodating. Richard was also very welcoming and provided us with additional towels, shampoo etc. he was very welcoming. To complete this review let me end by saying that Bliss at the front desk was also super nice when checked out this morning. I highly recommend staying here every staff member is very friendly and the hospitality was a great experience.

Great Stay for Families and Road Trippers!

I recently stayed at the TownePlace Suites Merced during a road trip to Yosemite, and it was a wonderful experience. The location is ideal for those heading to the park, providing a comfortable and convenient stop before or after a long day of exploring.

The suite was spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with a small kitchenette that came in handy for preparing quick meals. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering great local tips and accommodating any requests we had.

Overall, this is a great choice for families and anyone looking for a comfortable stay with the convenience of a mini-apartment setup. We would definitely stay here again!

Avoid this place at all costs!! My husband and I booked a room for several days for the Thanksgiving holiday. The room was dirty. The carpet was wet. The chair stunk like pet urine. They wouldn't clean the room nor give us supplies. Our vehicle was vandalized and several thousand dollars of property was stolen out of it. We were parked out front of the hotel. Along the chain link fence. Someone cut the fence open and helped their self to our property. The police were called out. But the hotel staff lied to the police and would not cooperate with them nor us!! Apparently this happens at this hotel every week. If you value your property avoid this place like the plague!! The hotel raised our room rates after this horrible thing happened to us! We will not be staying here ever again nor will I refer anyone to stay here!!

I've stayed at the adjacent Hamptons Inn and Holiday Inn Express and this hotel is the best of the three. Maybe because it's also the newest, being built approximately 5 years ago. The furnishings are modern and the rooms are akin to a small studio apartment, equipped with a kitchen, a small dining table and even a lounge chair. The bathroom was roomy and rest of the hotel facility (gym, laundry, and dining area) were well done. There were already signs of wear observed in my room - cracked shower wall, dirt in corners, etc but it didn't affect my stay.

Breakfast was good, including a tasty breakfast muffin sandwich and waffle maker. Coffee was decent, allowing me to forgo a coffee run at nearby Sbux. The hotel is right near the 99 FWY and I could hear the din of the traffic noise at night but not to the degree that it interfered with my sleep.

There was ample parking - that wasn't an issue at all. Staff were all professional. This is the nicest of the trio of hotels in this little area. Next time I'm in the area again, I wouldn't hesitate going with this hotel.

We had an overall good experience. Our room was clean, the staff was polite, and the location is conveniently close to the Hwy 99 ramp.

I did notice when we were checking out that both elevators have expired permits. I informed the young lady at the desk.

One word to sum up our stay: COCKROACHES.

There were three of us and we had a Larger Queen studio on the third floor. My friends noticed roaches the first night and called the night manager about it. They came to our room to spray the bottom of the kitchen sink and the dishwasher. However, that only temporarily fixed the issue. The next day when we got back from our hike, we noticed even more and I even swatted a few. I took these videos on our last morning at this hotel. It seems management doesn’t take this cockroach problem seriously or they’re used to having cockroaches there. Either way, they didn’t handle this properly. The night manager said he would offer to move us but all Larger Queen rooms were occupied. I there are roaches in one room, there are roaches in other rooms. No point in moving.

Long story short, I don’t recommend this hotel. We were afraid of roaches getting into our food and clothes the entire time we were there. We kept all of our food inside the fridge, including chips. We made sure all our luggage and clothes were closed and packed. We didn’t want any cockroaches hitchhiking their way into our cars or homes.

Checked into the room in the later evening as a stop along our way to northern CA. Check in was easy, got to the room, ate our dinner and went to the kitchen sink to wash my hands and found a roach. Brushed it off as a one off, then found 2 more by the trash can under the sink and some dead ones on the floor by the fridge and kitchen floor, also found a screw and some unidentifiable goop by the dishwasher floor. I immediately picked up my crawling baby and went down to ask to be moved and was told the hotel was fully booked, they also said the other Marriot properties were fully booked but we could stay at the hotel next door for $150 a night (this hotel had worse reviews than what I found online for this hotel). At this point it was nearing midnight and my baby and toddler needed sleep. We zipped our bags and inspected the begs and got a few hours of sleep and hit the road as early as we could. Needless to say we opted not to eat breakfast here. Definitely would not recommend this hotel. After reading more into the reviews it seems there are a few reviews about the roaches so it’s not an isolated incident or something that has been ‘looked into by management and pest control’ yet…
