I have been staying at this resort for decades now. And cannot recommend highly enough. Under the recent ownership things the rooms have been upgraded and all is spotless. If you want fancy and little mints under your pillows please look elsewhere. If you want comfortable and clean and quiet and close to great hiking and with a little kitchen and a sweet little propane fireplace/stove then this is your place. Enjoy!!! David + Laura

Perfect location for access to Point Reyes National Seashore. This spot is as close as you can get to Tomales Bay and the one of the main access points to the park. The hotel is no frills but clean and comfortable We received a warm welcome at check in but never saw another staff member during our 2 day stay. Bay view rooms were so quiet and provided an amazing view of the changing tides and fog rolling in and out. Beds very comfortable and bathroom and shower appeared to be newly renovated Second floor bay view rooms have a marvelous high ceiling and balcony to watch the bay and all the changes through the day. Bring a MAP and guide book (old school) because wifi in the area is unavailable. As East-coasters we knew very little about the area despite a lot of online research before leaving home. The hotel wifi was spotty but in the park navigating and ‘googling’ was impossible. Also this hotel’s location is a bit of a drive from restaurants and the small grocery store. Make a stop at a larger supermarket and stock up before arrival. Leave the big city hotel expectations behind and enjoy this family owned and maintained little resort!

Family owned and run, gorgeous views, clean, lovely little rooms!

We would definitely return as we were only able to stay for one night. This place is a charm on the edge of Tomales Bay - so beautiful and serene with clean and comfortable, modernized rooms. The space was smaller but felt big with vaulted ceilings and floor to ceiling windows - photos of view from the room, not zoomed or retouched! A comfortable king bed with a small corner fireplace was just the ticket to a very cozy evening. We'll definitely return for the kayaking on offer (even night-time bioluminescent tours!) and sailing, or just enjoying the little shops in nearby Point Reyes Station and Inverness.

Beautiful property but unreliable service. The property is surrounded by a stunning marina. Our room had great views of the water.

Unfortunately, it was very difficult to communicate with management as the concierge is only open from 9-5. The on call personnel had little knowledge of the booking system and no access to many of the offices. Our group had booked a room that “sleeps 3”. Prior to arriving we called to make sure there would be a roll away bed, cot or pull out couch. The concierge confirmed that all would be in place. When we got to the room there was no additional sleeping arrangement, linens or any soap for that matter. We called the “on call number” and were given toiletries, linen, and a camping mat to put on the floor. The mat was only a few inches thick and should not be considered a 3rd bed. The next day we were moved to another room with out any apologies from staff. No one seemed very concerned. Very disappointed in how this was handled.

We enjoyed our 11th anniversary weekend here. My first time in this part of California. Went to the Pt Reyes Lighthose and climbed down the 313 steps and back up again! Awesome fresnel lens built in 1870!

Rooms are in need of updating. The carpets were weirdly loose and very stained. Wood surfaces (trim, etc) had a fair amount of water damage. The walls are also pretty thin. We could hear the conversations happening in the room adjacent to us pretty clearly.

Outdoor spaces are also showing serious signs of age (rust, water damaged wood, etc).

The woman working I the office was friendly and helpful, but the office hours were pretty limited.

The location is great in terms of accessing Point Reyes and Tomales Bay. Parking was reasonable, and there is a Tesla destination charger that worked well for us.

Lovely staff. Room 8 is great for 2 people with separate rooms. Lovely views. There is a little beach to the left of the property that you can walk to depending on the tide.

We had a wonderful time here. Ciaran, the manager, we super kind and accommodating, and showed me some room options. We ended up getting the Captain’s Quarters and it was worth every penny. It was a very spacious apartment with a million dollar view. Most the rooms here will have a view- you are RIGHT on the bay. We will be back for sure. Thank you for the great memories.
