Awesome Track with Great Variety!

Thunderhill Raceway is a fantastic track with a mix of high-speed straights, technical corners, and elevation changes. The surface is well-maintained, and the multiple configurations keep things exciting. It’s a great place for both beginners and experienced drivers to push their limits. Facilities are solid, and the staff is friendly. Definitely one of the best tracks in California!

An amazing course with good people making for a good vibe. Tricky and off camber in places and fast and flat out in others.
There is also an ‘off the map’ supercharger that is likely not publicly accessible but is there for EV track users.

I was invited by Darrell Anderson AV8 Super Cars @av8.supercars of Sears Point Raceway, to attend my first high-performance "Drift" event. Thunderhill has a lot to offer. I had the time of my life. The drift cars are incredible. The speed that they course through the track is incredible. I love the noise and the smoking tires. The AV8 Team lead by "Double Barrel Darrell" is off the hook. They did 5 sessions per day, and every time, they had to put on a new set of rear tires. These guys ruled the track. Another highlight of my experience was the hot laps around the track in the brand new ZO6 C8 Corvette. Professional driver Nick Beisert @grip_addict set the track on fire. Yeah, he had the pedal to the metal, the rpm's, 8,600 revolutions per minute, maxed out, buried, with the tires smoking in every turn. He started at the back of the pack and safely passed every single car at an extremely high rate of speed. He did not want to hurt me, so he kept asking, "Nitros, are you alright? Are you okay?" Every time the answer was "yes". Then he'd take it to the next level until no levels were left. We were ripping around the track like a jet fighter. When we were totally maxed out, I was extremely quiet. He asked me what I was doing. I told him "yoga" :-). I think I made a new friend. Love the experience. Nick is a good guy with a great family that supports him. Try it, you'll like it. I loved it.

Such an amazing track. I've been here several times for track days and LeMons. With the expansion, it's even better.

Great facility lots of shore power points. Track is awesome and the recent updates and new garages make this track a must attend for road racing.

Thunderhill East and west are both awesome tracks. East is more fast and flowy, the west is a bit more tight and technical. Both sides have good mix of elevation changes. Track accommodation is good, bathrooms and showers are well maintained. Thunderhill grill has good breakfast and lunch specials.

Well set out area. The day I was there ample parking. Has a small, out-of-the-wind viewing area upstairs of main building.
Access to all areas was again available on my visit.

The track has a two separate areas which can be combined for longer races.

The place feels country, but equally able to hold some big events

Thunderhill is a great racetrack for novices as it offers a good mix of turn styles as well as elevation changes. Additionally there are a lot of race schools that use the track and put on track days for people of all levels. One advantage of Thunderhill is there is a lot of run off areas so if you over cook a corner you have a good chance not to total out your car. This track also has continually grown over the years adding in a skid pad and now a larger loop section of track.
With all the recent changes this is a track to support by attending events and help insure the track stays around for years to come to bring up the next generation of race drivers.
If looking for groups to run with NCRC Racing and Hooked on Driving are 2 of the best to run with.
