Just attended the Bobby Womack performance this evening. The cast were excellent, however, the show was unenjoyable due to several ladies who were extremely loud, obnoxious, and rude. Not to mention I attempted to speak with the owners, Mr. Ruffin along with his wife, and they were as rude as his audience. I have never dealt with a proprietor who was as rude as they were. On top of that he continued to disagree and became even more hostile towards myself and another family member. It was very disappointing and very sad to see an owner who had the opportunity to make a different choice and decision continuously become more ruder and obnoxious. His staff and cast actually are more professional than him or his wife. He often mentions Tyler Perry at the end of his shows. However, he will never reach a Tyler Perry level of success due to his lack of inability and professionalism with how he handles his customers. We always hear about Black people not supporting other black businesses. Now we see why! Customer service goes a long ways and clearly he does not have it. I will no longer support or attend another performance at Theater 47. I’ve been a big supporter of this theater for the last several years. However, I will encourage others not to support this owner due to the lack of professionalism and disrespect extended to his supporters. Unfortunately, the actors are working for someone who has no respect, experience, or knowledge of how to treat anyone. Therefore, I will make sure I express this to anyone who mentions they have plans on attending a performance at this Theater.

The experience was awesome,upclose and intimate. The cast was excellent. My husband and I went with a group of 100 plus. We are looking forward to the next performance. Well done to the director/ writer and staff of " Bobby Womack, If you think you are Lonely now" Sunday 2/16/25 4pm performance

I am a big fan of intimate venues. This theater is definitely a hidden gem. It's being well cared for. It's plenty of FREE PARKING! They also have a concession stand serving snacks, non & alcoholic beverages. The seating was comfortable! Overall this is a great place for plays and musicals. I am looking forward to visiting again!

I have had the pleasure of seeing 2 plays at this theater.Excellent performance on both accounts.Staff and owner are amazing.Love DJ10 and all the vendors are a huge plus.can’t wait until the next play.

It's was an amazing musical on the life of Bobby Womack, "If You Think You're Lonely Now" . The ensemble casts voices were powerful, melodic and very entertaining.

I was there for the Saturday performance of "If You Think You're Lonely Now" on March 1, 2025. This story about Bobby Womack was exceptional. If you can get tickets see it! You don't want to miss it. It will put a smile in your "soul".

Had a great time at this intimate little theater. I saw Lady Sings the Blues and I wasn't disappointed by the performance. I would suggest that you get there early for 2 reasons. They had a DJ there who entertained us and it's really dark once the lights go out for the show. They also had vendors. I highly recommend seeing this if you're in the area.
