The Villa Del Sol - Fullerton, California

The California hotel is one of the most beautiful spots in Fullerton. It reeks of old history and shows the Spanish influence that was once present in our city. There are claims that it is haunted … a rumor says that a mother murdered her child in the window right above the center sign. However, that’s not confirmed and just a rumor.

The Cellar, downstairs, is a bar and it’s one of the most unique bars I’ve ever been to. It has a nice restaurant and bar area, overall clean and is a very unique vibe.

An absolutely beautiful location for wedding and events. I am a wedding photographer here in SoCal and my experience of working here and with all its staff is amazing. They are very attentive and detailed. Not to mention the beautiful historical buildings around. I am in love with the venue.

I recently considered booking Villa Del Sol for my wedding but decided against it due to several organizational shortcomings. Initially, I was excited about the venue (my parents even visited and food tasted), but the lack of a dedicated coordinator was a significant drawback. The coordinator, who also holds a full-time job, was notably unresponsive, taking nine days to provide a proposal which caused significant worry considering we are out of state. I felt as if I were nagging to get a proposal or get a question answered.

Moreover, there were critical communication errors, such as when I needed the venue's address to send payment; it was provided incompletely, missing the suite number (something I caught) which could have led to significant logistical issues.

My attempts to communicate directly with Villa Del Sol were largely unsuccessful, leaving me uncertain about how to proceed or whom to address my concerns to (hence this review). Yes I even spoke to Dunlap Property group when I was trying to get ahold of the suite number for Villa Del Sol.

Given these experiences, I felt compelled to look elsewhere for a venue where clear and timely communication is prioritized. I hope Villa Del Sol will address these issues to improve future guests' experiences.

We attended a wedding here 1 week ago. We were very disappointed. Not only did the vendors staff block people that hadn't eaten, they were helping themselves to trays of food that had been paid for by the bride and groom. The vendor's staff were very confused and really didn't care about their jobs. Just trying to get through the night, which was sad for us, who were planning waiting, and budgeting for this special day. The business side , Antonette was very nice and inviting before signing the contract , but after we paid in full , she was rude, and we received no appreciation or amenities. Please find a different venue . Thought
It would be a beautiful experience, but I was sadly mistaken .

The cellar restaurant is a place to go at least one time in your life. Definitely not a random night to go eat type of place this is strictly for special occasions. Cocktails here are very good. Not gonna lie might have been better than my food. I order the 10oz fillet migon. Steak was cooked to perfection but for the price I would say it's not worth it. If you go here for drinks and ambiance it's 5 star if your going here for food it's a 4/5 for me.
