Great views! Friendly & accommodating
owners! We were on motorcycles and they set out microfiber towels for us to dry our bikes off in the morning. That was very much appreciated! The rooms were clean & comfy! Andy gave us great tips on restaurants, as well as things to see and do! Would definitely stay here again!

This is a great place to stay! The owner makes sure you know your stay is very important to him. The rooms were very nice and there is a lot of outside seating areas for you to sit and enjoy the views. Will definitely stay there again on my next trip to Galena!

Very nice hotel. Clean. The owner is very accommodating and welcoming. He has little things that he does to make you feel welcome that you would never receive at a chain. You can tell he loves the place and wants you to feel welcome. Little drive to galena. Well worth it!

I recently stayed at The View Motel and had a wonderful experience. Andy and Joyce were incredibly welcoming, and the amenities exceeded my expectations.

Andy and Joyce went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. They were friendly and helpful, providing great recommendations for local dining and motorcycle routes. They provided microfiber towels which came in very handy in the moorings before leaving for our motorcycle rides. The free drink upon check-in after a long trip north was also a plus!

The motel is conveniently located between Elizabeth and Galena, IL, making it easy to explore the areas. While Galena it the hot attraction do not sleep on Elizabeth, IL. An adorably small town with two great restaurants. We had one of the best hamburgers we've ever had at The Small Town Saloon (aka Dually's) and great breakfast two days in a row at Lola's.

The motel room was spotless and well-maintained, which made my stay very comfortable. The bed was very comfortable, and I had a restful night's sleep.

Overall, my stay at The View Motel was excellent. I highly recommend this motel to anyone looking for a comfortable and affordable place to stay. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the area.

My sweet loving wife and I booked a room at The View so we could have a romantic weekend because when I first drove past this nice motel I couldn't help notice the beautiful views so we called and booked a room for a two night stay, well not only was the room so extremely nice but Andy and Joyce were so nice and so extremely accommodating and went all out to make our stay so extremely pleasant and they were so friendly and genuinely kind and we never received such genuinely kind services at the 5 star hotels we have stayed at in the past so Andy and Joyce were one of the many great experiences of our stay. We had a lot of fun visiting Elizabeth and Galena and because of how nice our stay experience was we asked Andy if we could book our room one more night and he said it was available so I decided to make it a three day weekend getaway especially with how my wife really wanted to stay another night with how much she loved The View and they won her over from the time we first arrived and we noticed Andy and Joyce wrote on our rooms window "Welcome Matt and Debbie" so we were both so pleasantly surprised to see that sweet personalized touch that won us over the moment we got there!!! Thank you Andy and Joyce for everything you do for your customers and we will see you again in October to see all the beautiful Autumn colors, we are so looking forward to it thank you!!!! ❤️

Innkeeper of the year. Andy was a delight to talk to, who has an extremely interesting background and who runs an independent, but very comfortable motel near Galena. We enjoyed the hiking path along the Galena River, the many restaurants and the scenery

My husband and I found this little gem of a motel while traveling across country. I briefly looked at previous reviews and quickly decided this was where we would stay the night. The rate was very reasonable and it was en route to our next destination. I am so glad we did! Andy was amazingly welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. The room was immaculately clean, the linens smelled delightfull, we were each offered a chilled beverage apon arrival, and our names were colorfully written on our window to greet us as we pulled up (even though it was a last minute booking and close to closing time!). Not to mention the increadable view as the sun set out our front door and a beautiful sunrise over the valley behind us the following morning! If we find ourselves in the area again we will most definitely stay here! Thank you Andy for providing a fantastic and comfortable night's sleep to these weary travelers!

We got in late and chose this motel for its old school vibe. It was very clean and safe. Just a quick overnight but the owners left us a welcoming card. We definitely recommend if you are out this way.
