This was the best place my husband and I have ever stayed for our anniversary. Celebrating the day we became a couple. The house is stunning, just full of antiques and charm. Many suites and all have their own bathrooms. Very clean!!!! The hostess made us the most awesome breakfast. It was well worth every penny spent. We will be going back!

One of life's lovely moments! Jerry and I stayed in the beautiful Tower Room for our 35th wedding anniversary. The décor, view, and period accents (like the wonderful goat soap) made this room extra special. A tour of the other rooms and grounds was just as delightful. I loved everything about this gorgeous Victorian, and I loved our hostess even more. She surprised us with decadent mini-cakes (chocolate with cherry filling!) and champagne to aid in our celebration. The next morning she provided an elegant breakfast thoughtfully prepared to meet hubby's dietary needs. Her knowledge of the home and antiques coupled with her kindness meant the conversation was as lovely as the home. This was one of those life experiences as near perfect as you get this side of heaven. I highly recommend this well-persevered grand lady of a home and the people who care for her--and their guests.

The breakfast alone is worth the stay with unique one of a kind homemade dishes. I was there for my 45th high school reunion with conversations with other guest priceless. You could spend hours checking out all the antiques in the late 1800s house . My favorite place to stay bar none.

We stayed here not knowing what to expect, I personally booked it because it reminded me of a hallmark movie, and immediately decided this was the place me and a friend would stay for a conference, we were attending nearby. As soon as we arrived (which was late 9o’clock) Kathleen greeted us with a smile. Both mornings when waking up she had the most delicious breakfast prepared for us and even made a special flavored creamer for my friend who is picky about her coffee it was amazing of course. This house was full of love along with the prettiest china and trinkets you could imagine. The rooms were Beautiful, beds were comfortable and the company from Kathleen was amazing. We will one day be returning to stay at this Gem again. Thanks Kathleen for your wonderful hospitality!

We are so glad we decided to break up our drive and stop for the night. The Victorian on Main was the perfect escape. Kathleen was the perfect host, going above and beyond to make sure all our needs were met. The home was full of history which she willingly shared. our room was inviting and very clean. Got to have a one night getaway at The Victorian on Main. The house is just lovely. Feels like you’ve stepped back in time. The room was wonderful. Clean and cozy!
Hospitality was excellent as was the breakfast. As a vegetarian I appreciate that they serve thoughtful healthy delicious food and a lot of it. Such a wonderful getaway I would love to stay there again.

I stayed 2 nights while in Fairfield for work. I arrived late due to traffic and the innkeeper was so sweet when we arrived. Even helped me bring up my hanging clothes - I was exhausted after a 7 hour drive - so kind! The breakfast was amazing both mornings and the hospitality was above and beyond! My only thought would be to have a mini fridge in the hallway on the 3rd floor instead of going to the basement- but the exercise did me good! Thanks for a great stay! If I’m ever back in the area I’d come back!!

When curator/proprietor Kathleen & her husband Gary & their family decided to turn their antiques shop into a B&B, she culled the finest items from their inventory for display. Consequently the many collections throughout the inn are incredible, and in a setting that is impeccable.||We stayed in the Tower Room. Lovely, well-appointed & comfortable, it had the most beautiful light coming through the multiple windows. ||And the food: It’s hard to act adult when truffled potatoes are set down in front of you — for breakfast. ||But the best part of our stay was time spent with Kathleen. So engaging, so knowledgeable, so kind. ||We’ll be back.
