It was an amazing experience having our wedding here. Our wedding size was a little under 250 guests. Our family and friends loved this gorgeous and spacious venue. The venue staff Terry, and Robin were fantastic and very accommodating to anything we needed to make our day special and on top of everything. The catering company we used, Maravela's was great. The food was delicious our guests were raving about it! The bar was also great! Would for sure recommend this venue for your special event!!

The Millburn Barn is a great location for a wedding all under one roof. However, to experience professionalism, respect, and integrity, I would look elsewhere. I have organized eighteen large-scale events at other venues and have never had to deal with the lack of hospitality by an owner like I did at this place. While our families put together a beautiful and memorable event, it was not without a ridiculous amount of stress from the unaccommodating owners.
The zero-tolerance policy of outside alcohol was handwritten like a note on the contract after it was already signed. The conversation about outside alcohol was casual and a story about a previous wedding where a keg was brought into the Groom’s suite. Had we been told that their liquor license was in jeopardy instead of being disrespectfully yelled at, we could have resolved the issue professionally.
The fact that the owners rummaged through personal items, confiscated gifts without our knowledge, constantly monitored every move via the surveillance cameras (there is no sign anywhere that you are being watched/recorded), spoke to us in a very rude manner, basically called us liars several times, and much more, made me regret the decision to have the wedding at the barn. What owner would say to the bride, “I bet you can’t wait till this is over”? Or roll his eyes and say, “oh, god” at the decor we were bringing in? I am disgusted that the surveillance camera in the Groom’s suite watched their every move. I wonder if the barn follows the NFPA 101 Life Safety Code. I question the adequate exit access and compliant fire alarm system. I also question their compliance with the ADA Standards for Accessible Design (no designated accessible parking spaces). These are all serious matters that deserve attention.
If you prioritize hospitality and integrity in your event planning, look for an alternative venue.

My husband and I enjoyed the Art in the Barn painting party. We painted a Matisse. Robyn was an excellent instructor. We learned so much about color blending and highlighting with paint. Took a tour of the venue as well. Simply beautiful!

I just had my wedding here this past weekend. There are no words to describe the experience we had with Terry and Robin. They are kind, attentive and responsive. They will do anything they can to make sure your day goes as planned.

The venue itself is absolutely stunning and comfortably accommodates a large number of guests. The catering choices are fairly priced and the food is delicious. I would not think twice about booking your event here!

While this venue is undoubtedly gorgeous, the lack of professionalism of its management made the final 2-3 weeks leading up to my daughter’s wedding quite stressful. The 24 hours prior were horrendous. Had their rules and expectations been clarified and in writing prior to the event, this all could have been avoided. Their handwritten notes on a contract after we signed it do not constitute “contracted”. I was nothing but kind, patient and professional in attempting to work with Terry and Robin every step of the way. This was not reciprocated.

We were originally promised a 4 hour time window to allow for setup and rehearsal the evening before, as well as full access beginning 10am the day of the wedding. (Understanding this was not typical and they were extending the day for us.) That was changed 1 week before to a 3 hour time window, and the day of the wedding we couldn’t access the full facility until 1pm, with no prior explanation or notice given. Thankfully we had gathered enough volunteers to pull this off. All of our wedding party gifts were staged in both the bride & groom suites Friday evening. Despite abiding by all of their last minute rules, I was told the morning of the wedding, via an obnoxious phone call from Terry, that the bride & groom suites were inspected and some of our gift items were confiscated! Our personal items were rifled through. (One of their post-contract rules was no outside alcohol. We were disappointed by this as the girls were going to have mimosas, but instead decided to have mock-tails to abide by this rule. Side note, we had already upgraded to the Premium Bar Package, so this was not part of the problem.) Our glasses for mock-tails were even taken leaving us nothing to drink out of. There were a few gift items for Father of the Bride and Groomsmen that included a travel size bottle of whiskey. They’d been asked not to open it at the venue. We even asked them to take these gifts to their car. Instead these items were taken from the rooms Friday night and not given back until the end of the night Saturday when we had to call them for it.

One of the items in a bag that was confiscated was a handmade handkerchief my daughter planned to give her Dad during the first look. They ruined that well thought-out moment for her.

An hour before the ceremony began, Robin stormed into the groom's room, took one of the groomsman‘s glasses of apple cider (made with the Keurig on site) and sniffed it to be sure it wasn’t alcohol. She yelled at them, accusing them of alcohol and told them she watched them on camera!? There was no alcohol in the suite, as the tiny bottles of whiskey that were part of a groomsmen gift had been taken by staff and none was brought in! Both Dads stepped in and asked her to leave.

Terry was rude to our vendors upon their arrival.

Buyer beware, It is apparent there is someone continually watching and monitoring at all times via cameras, even inside private rooms where people are changing.

I could go on for days about the ridiculousness of those 24 hours. I could never have imagined that sort of stress coming into my daughter’s wedding.

Being in the wedding industry you would think owners and management would go out of their way to make sure the bride and groom and their families felt comfortable and as stress free as possible. This was the complete opposite.

Despite all of this ridiculousness our families came together and pulled off the wedding of our kids' dreams.

Lastly, I imagine ownership will reply saying this is not how things happened. But I assure you, we have at least 15 people that witnessed what I have outlined above. As well as the unfortunate details I did not share.

NOTE: Maravelas and the bartending contractors were fabulous!

Truly a hidden gem, this place is HUGE! So much space here and a very unique setup. I like how they kept part of the old horse stables too. The dining/party area is amazing and they even have a dance floor.
If you are looking for a venue to host any kind of event or meeting, you should at least tour this one.
Thank you for allowing us to use your space!

This place is brand new for wedding venues. My daughter’s was the first larger wedding and it went off without a hitch (horse stable joke). The coordinator was very helpful, even finding us an iron at the last minute.

My husband and I used this venue for our wedding this month. I cannot recommend them enough. The venue itself is BEAUTIFUL! It was everything I was looking for when I visited rustic/barn venues. This was my favorite for sure. Terry and Robin are the best. They were so helpful and flexible throughout the entire process including the the day of. Communication with them was so easy and Terry was always available if we had any questions or concerns. He really went above and beyond to make sure we were all set with vendors. We left our bridesmaids bouquets at the venue the day before and Robin went by early to let someone in to grab them before the ceremony. Terry and Robins dedication to make our dream wedding possible really exceeded our expectations. The location itself was perfect and not too far from the highway so guests who were traveling from afar could come and go with ease. We were so happy and pleased with all of the partnered vendors and with Millburn Stables of course!!! We're hoping one of our guests gets married here so we can experience the venue as a guest. Thank you Terry and Robin!
