I’m not going to leave a name of the girl who did my haircut here just because she was very friendly and had great vibes but the final result turned out not what I asked for.
In fact she did exactly what I asked her not to do. I came in to cut a good chunk of hair off and had a photo reference. As you can see it’s not even close to what I got. I asked multiple times to just not give me Bob or worse hair length that bends at neckline and that’s exactly what I got. I’ve had this hairstyle before and remember how long it took me to get out of the bending edges stages so I cried myself to sleep last 2 days being sad I’ll have to spend next 8 months like this. But it’s hair, it will grow. The girl was great and I really wanted to love the salon.

I got my hair cut and styled by Sarah today and I feel like a new woman! I highly recommend this salon. They really know what they're doing. My hair is thick, so I usually have to deal with stylists missing large sections, but not here. They're experts and super sweet

Jessica is absolutely phenomenal! She truly has an artist's eye for hair, and deliverd a perfect cut that flatter my face shape and hair type. She took the time to understand exactly what I wanted and needed. This was my first visit and I left feeling confident and refreshed with a fantastic hairstyle!

I had Sarah cut my hair last week. This is the first time that a stylist listened to me and gave me the actual cut I asked for! I was so impressed that I booked my next appointment before even leaving the salon. I would highly recommend Sarah at The Vault

I was looking for a new stylist in my area as my previous stylist, (my sister) works over an hour away from me and I have aged past the point of wanting to cut and color my hair at my kitchen table. I did some research, read the positive reviews and booked an appointment for a cut and color consultation with Erycka at The Vault. The salon was clean and modern, and they use quality products. My cut was amazing, but the color consultation was abrupt. I tried to explain to Erycka that my roots had a tendency to pull the red, giving me “hot roots” and my ends would pull too much brown. Erycka simply told me to bring an inspiration picture when I come in for the color.
Four weeks later I arrived for my color appointment with a picture in hand. I was looking for a tonal color with highlights and lowlights. I made mention of products I used over the previous month and again tried to stress how temperamental my hair could be and the challenges I had in the past. I felt like my concerns were dismissed. We proceeded with the color and when I got out of the chair, I liked the highlights and lowlights throughout the length, but then I looked at the top of my head and realized we had a major issue. My roots were not just “hot” but were a completely different color that did not blend in with the rest of my hair. I immediately brought it up to Erycka, who told me it’s fine, give it a couple of days and if I didn’t like it to come back in.
I went home and washed my scalp, trying to lighten the roots but that did not help. I called the next morning to book a correction because I had no faith that the roots were going to fade into the highlights. By the time I went in that afternoon, I had received multiple comments from people that the highlights were lovely but the roots were bad. Someone even commented, “your roots look like a crime scene.” When I arrived, I asked Erycka why she would even let me get up from the chair with my roots looking like that. She responded that she didn’t think they looked that bad, but that she would correct it by “pulling the highlights to my roots. I said that since I often wear my hair pulled back into a ponytail, I needed the roots around my face corrected. Erycka responded, “oh now you want highlights around your face?” My response was less than stellar when I stated that I just don't want to look like someone took a meat cleaver to my head. That offended Erycka and it became apparent that the client/stylist relationship had irreparably broken down. End of the appointment.
My sister and I spoke to both the manager, Mary, and the owner about what happened. I shared pictures of the result, and asked what formula and toner was used. They were both incredibly kind and accommodating, and agreed the roots were not a desirable outcome. It took my sister, who has been a stylist for almost 40 years, 7 ½ hours over two days to correct the problem. There is no way “pulling the highlights” would have worked. I had to have the root color removed. Had I gone to another salon, it would have easily cost me $1000 to fix the mess.
I wish I had booked my color appointment with either Mary or Jessica. I am convinced the outcome would have been much different. They both offered to fix my hair but by then my emotions were too raw. I would book future appointments with either of these lovely ladies and I would even recommend Erycka for a cut and style, but perhaps not a complicated color, not red, and definitely not if your hair is temperamental. Erycka is young so maybe she still needs to learn to slow down, not cut corners and above all LISTEN TO YOUR CLIENT when she says, “my hair can be tricky.” In retrospect, I am partially at fault because I should not have started the color process, feeling that my concerns were not being taken seriously. So it’s back to my kitchen table for me.

Absolutely loved getting my hair done here. I was looking for a total transformation, and they provided! I am so happy with my results. Also, the atmosphere is great. They offered drinks, I love the plants, and the chairs were super comfy. They also have a program to reward return visits! (I would keep coming back regardless). Thanks Jessica!

Sarah is amazing, She took such great care of my 8 year old daughter. She was able to take her same day and was so friendly and great with her even though my daughter was nervous. Once I saw how great she did with my daughters hair, I booked an appointment for myself the very next day. She took 3 years of growth off and gave me an amazing pixie cut.

The Salon is so clean and the deco is cute. Very comfortable and such a friendly welcoming atmosphere.

I also got a waxing service by Maribel and it was great! We will definitely be going back for all our hair and waxing needs.
