Service was outstanding for the type of restaurant that this is. It was no menu, party first. I am beginning to get annoyed like many other Americans that the Covid practice of pushing a credit card machine in front of our face and saying “I need you to answer a couple of questions.” In places where you pay before toy eat needs to cease.
Other than that:

The staff was friendly.
The food was good.
The drinks were good.

The dining room of the Restaurant was a little chilly. Hopefully it gets warmer.

The bottom line I would go here again. I also would recommend it to friends

Super nice vibe in this cafe/restaurant. I loved the art work, outdoor seating and overall vibe - very nice place. The restaurant is a little confusing when you walk in - not sure if you should sit and (that didn't work for us - qrcode did not work) or order at the cafe - it took several minutes for someone to greet us and let us know how it worked - you can order at the table if it works, food can be ordered at table and is brought out to you. We just ordered at the register. I had a veggie omelette, only it wasnt veggie, it was a ony brussel sprouts inside which i found pretty strange. It was just okay. My friend had the egg sandwich and found it "just ok" as well.
Over all 5 for atmosphere and vibe.. Maybe a 3.5 on food and service.

I went with a bunch of friends to get some brunch. I ordered the Egg Sandwich and I substituted the ham for bacon. The sandwich tasted amazing and I enjoyed the company of my friends. Definitely worth the price.

Went to eat with my brother and his girlfriend and hoped for some good food..do NOT get the iced matcha latte. It tasted like flavored water and it was $8😩, I was so sad. I did like the french toast, it was nice and soft.

My brother got the Cubano, we all thought it was tasty. Unfortunately, he also ordered a hot matcha latte and it was super watery as well.

His girlfriend got an egg sandwich with bacon, it didn’t have bacon when it came? And it was really salty.

Pretty expensive for the outcome to just be okay.

It’s giving one of those trendy places that has all the nice food in the seasonal stuff and your waitress or waiter is always gonna be like a non-gender conforming person but at the same time the food was disgusting and they did not have pancakes and also the prices were egregious and it was just not a good experience at all. The packaging and presentation for the cinnamon roll was terrible. I feel like I need to poop after the fact. the cinnamon French toast that was disgusting. Had apples on it and had a sauce on it in addition to maple syrup with who does that

Got a perfectly delicious Banana Bread Latte! A little light and the perfect amount of sweet. Nice smooth coffee flavor and LOVE that it’s organic!

Adorable atmosphere and friendly staff! Definitely will come back again and try some food.

In mid-September, we met friends here for a nice outdoor lunch in the South Loop area. Just east of their storefront there’s a spacious patio with lots of tables and umbrellas. They have indoor seating, too. Outdoors, you order at a little kiosk, and they being the food to the tables. We had several local beers and crafted cocktails. Mine was a well-made whiskey drink off their changing menu. We enjoyed a large fresh salad, a tasty chicken wrap, a juicy smash-burger, and a thick and satisfying tomato soup with a grilled cheese. They sometimes have events, too, like movie nights. Service was welcoming and quick. A very pleasant experience!

I stumbled upon The Spoke & Bird in the South Loop, and it's become my go-to spot. Their Banana Bread Latte is a game-changer—smooth, not too sweet, and you can tell they use quality organic coffee. Paired it with their everything bagel, which is hands-down the best I've had in the city. The vibe is cozy, with a chill outdoor patio that's perfect for people-watching. Staff is super friendly, making the whole experience even better. For a coffee and bagel, I spent around $10, totally worth it for the quality and atmosphere.
