I had the pleasure of receiving treatment from Alicia at The Sore Spot while visiting my father in the Gainesville area. I was dealing with sharp, radiating pain from my lower back down to my leg and, after finding Alicia’s website and appreciating the depth of information she provided, I decided to give her a shot.

From the moment I arrived, I knew Alicia was truly skilled at her craft. She started by assessing my feet and posture before asking, "Do you want a massage, or do you want me to do my thing and fix it?" That question alone told me I was in the right hands.

Alicia quickly identified my trouble areas and made connections between my job in law enforcement and the daily activities contributing to my imbalances. Her expertise and approach were impressive, and if she were located in Connecticut, I would absolutely see her on a monthly basis.

Thank you, Alicia, for your outstanding work!

I found The Sore Spot on yelp and sent a text late one evening. Alicia responded the next morning with the information I requested and I made an appointment. Her detailed information explained everything I needed to know and when I arrived for my appointment, everything was ready for me.

It was 90 minutes of pure heaven. She is a very gifted massage therapist who listens to your needs and follows through to make sure you are in sync with her at all times. Alicia made my day and the week ahead fantastic.

I have been receiving massage therapy for over 40 years and I rate her in the top five massages I have ever received. You will not be disappointed if you spend time on her table.

Alicia’s massages are wonderful and great for me. She always goes to the sore spots and gets the kinks out.

She does excellent work on my neck which in turn relieves my tension there.

I have been enjoying your service and friendly persona for 21 years now.

I’m only in town for a week and had no idea who to go to. Luckily I found The Sore Spot. Alicia did much more than address my chronic pain areas. She helped me to understand what might be going on and some simple stretches I could do to address it from home. I’m extremely picky and would recommend Alicia to anyone with confidence.

After sustaining on-duty injuries in 2018 and undergoing years of treatments, therapy, and surgery, I never thought my chronic pain would improve or go away. I live with daily chronic pain in my back, neck, hip, and hand, with the neck pain often being the worst and significantly affecting my daily activities.

However, I recently received an amazing treatment from Alicia, which included MicroPoint stimulation, a combination of orthopedic pain management techniques, and myofascial release. For the first time in over five years, the pain in my neck has decreased to almost nothing. I highly recommend Alicia’s services.

She took the time to explain the techniques to me and was very in tune with my pain and recovery process.

Alicia was amazing! I had a massage tk relax and my son had a sports massage (he plays football and wrestles and was so sore). We had the best experience. After his massage, my son said “I feel like a new person!”

Alicia really knows what she is doing. From my first visit she told me what my issues were without me having to say anything. She is extremely skilled and I highly recommend her if you’re dealing with any chronic issues or just want to feel better!

The massage itself was amazing no complaints about it, I will say it was a little odd having her dogs in the room considering one of them was older and was wheezing probably the first 10 minutes of my massage and the last 20 minutes of it. Another thing I was not a fan of was changing in the room with the blinds and curtains wide open and not being able to close the curtains or anything. Other than those two things it was pretty good
