Wow, how did I not know about this place sooner? I was greeted with a friendly "Sure!" when I asked if I could check in to my room a bit before 3pm (2:15pm). The room itself was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed. And free parking too (that's worth 30 or 40 dollars on its own!)? Yup, I had no trouble getting a spot a few doors down after returning from a night out at 11pm. This will definitely be the first place I check the next time I come to Chicago and need a place to stay.

Great location! Room was comfortable and clean. Worth noting that if you have heavy suitcases you’ll be needing to go up or down quite a few stairs.
I didn’t realize the owner lived on the property until arrival but that wasn’t disruptive at all.

I did not have a chance to try breakfast but I look forward to trying it out next time I’m in town. It smelled delicious.

Everything we expected and needed from a Bed and Breakfast. The room was well-equipped, plentiful continental breakfast, and hospitality from Addie was A++++. Excellent location - walkable to Old Town Wells Street shopping and restaurant area, the Chicago History Museum and Lincoln Park Zoo. Will definitely recommend and hopefully be back !!

Our stay at The Sono was great! We were only staying a night and booked a queen room, and they gave us a free upgrade to a king room since it was unoccupied. The room was fantastic & clean, the breakfast was delicious with lots of variety and the voucher for free street parking made this the best option for our stay. I would definitely stay again.

If I could give more stars I would. The room we stayed in was immaculate. The place was located juuuust outside the heart of Chicago so we could go into the city and then escape back when we were done. The breakfast everyday was cute and filling. Our host/owner who takes care of the place was so kind and ontop of everything. And the rooftop view was BEYOND breathtaking. Definitely recommend to anyone visiting.

I wasn’t sure what to expect booking this stay, but I was so pleasantly surprised with how lovely the accommodations were! The house was beautiful, the beds were comfortable, and the guests were friendly and the team was welcoming! It was very quiet at night, but that was perfect coming back to relax and sleep deeply!

I will try to stay here every time I come to Chicago, it was a lovely stay! 🥰

Lovely accommodations. Quiet and comfortable. The croissants at breakfast were delicious!! Everything about our stay was easy. Parking right out front, walkable neighborhood. El stop nearby. We went to a Cubs game and a comedy club and enjoyed shopping and dinners. Breakfast was simple and perfect. Will definitely stay again.

The Sono turned out to be a delightful place to stay, fully in line (if not exceeding) our expectations. Our vivacious host April made us welcome and was full of useful tips about getting the best out of our stay. Our room was quiet, comfortable and immaculate, and the breakfasts plentiful, tasty and companionable. The rooftop hangout is a great bonus. The neighbourhood is quiet and full of interesting features, and the 'L' proved a very convenient way of getting downtown quickly. We hope we will get back there before too long.
