Stepping back in old school style. This vintage motel is a great place to stay. It was clean, the grounds were nice and the on staffer we met was very helpful and nice.

The rooms were very clean and the room was of good size. Bathroom was adequate and on the dark side. Plenty of hot water, safety bars in the shower. Plumbing was noisy when the neighbors shower was started. Bed was good, pillows were low to average and the towels excellent. HVAC was unique.

Staff were very caring and went out of their way to help us. Desk attendant found for us a suitable room to share with our pet. She also called local motels for our second night that accepts pets. The young man who works on the grounds helped to get a key to unlock the ice machine after dark for me. Room was clean, bed was comfy and shower was awesome! THANK YOU!

Cute inn! Dog friendly (no fee), lots of grass, very clean grounds and rooms. Incredible shower water pressure!!!

The Silver Maple Inn is a gorgeous place to stay! The rooms are very clean and staff extremely helpful. We ate our breakfasts in the garden area in front of our rooms. The beds are comfortable, the bathroom is small but manageable. The coffee was delicious. My mom and I had a great experience.

It was easy to reserve and the woman at the front desk was very friendly & helpful. The grounds are pleasant. When we walked into the office to check in we were accosted by an awful lemon air freshener. I had to step outside it was so bad. When we walked in our room we were again accosted by the smell of bleach. It burned our eyes and throat terribly and made us sick. I understand needing to keep rooms clean, but this is dangerously close to feeling poisoned. The sheets are rough and the towels rougher. The floors buckled and were very gritty. Do not walk barefoot. The rooms are clean except for the grit on the floors and dead bugs on the floors and toilet. Yuck! The shower is clean, but super small and awkward. The shower head does not move and points to the wall up high as opposed to down so it’s very hard to wash your hair. There is a small fridge and coffee maker which is helpful. The AC is very loud, does not work so well and the remote must be super close to the unit to work. The unit is up high and only points towards one side of the room. Luckily we only stayed one night. Lots of simple improvements could be made to make this a better stay.

Owners are working hard to keep up a dated complex. But they ARE doing the work. Fresh paint, windows, fixtures, mattresses applied to 1950's motel kitsch. This town is never going to have a Ritz Carlton given the remoteness and short season. So given the limitations of those absolutes... I really should give it higher marks.

I am surprised at the high rating of the motel. The room was dirty. Lots of stuff on the floor, like it hadn't been vacuumed. The bathroom had dirty shoe prints all over the tiles. I got woken up early in the morning as trucks started driving right next to window.

At least the lady at the front desk was very nice when I checked in.
