Love The Shanty. Lots of great food and bevs. After getting some cocktails, including old-fashioneds, we tried the famous Whiskey Shrimp, and Lollipop lamb apps. Whiskey Shrimp was made famous on Chef Guy Fieri's "Diners, Drive-ins & Dives" show years ago. They are one of my all-time fav apps. The lamb lollipops were just ok for me - good, but not special.
Dinner included mushroom soup which was outstanding! The Velsuvius Potatoes are very good. And the Shrimp DeJohnge was also good. Others at my table ordered the Sirloin dinner, Pork Chops with mango salsa, Eggplant, Pan seared Walleye. Everyone said the food was very good. We'll be back.

Always a great meal at The Shanty! I recommend the Lobster Ravioli but all entrees are delicious. The menu has something for everyone. Comfortable decor and great staff with plenty of parking. Special thanks to our server Emily S.!

I’m so glad I came to The Shanty! The atmosphere is very unique and it was cool to walk through the brick passageway to the original Shanty. I started with some yummy Clam Chowder, which was a great way to kick off the meal. I got the Poor Man’s Lobster (cod) and Brussels Sprouts. The cod was very delicious and well seasoned. It was in a layer of oil and paired with side vegetables. I must also add that the portion was very large. I took home two meals-worth of fish. The Brussels Sprouts were good but I don’t think they were necessary for the $5 extra as a premium side. The balsamic was just a little strong and the vegetables were a little too soft for me. The people I was with were very satisfied with what they ordered and the Chocolate Cake dessert (I forget what it’s called) was massive! Our server was great and offered wonderful recommendations. I paid $38 with tip and enjoyed the leftover cod for two meals the next day. I’ll have to come back for live music! 5 stars!

I had a lovely time at this restaurant. It was my first time here. My husband and i decided to come here for our anniversary dinner. I had an aged rib eye and he had a brisket short rib burger. The service was great! I love the look and atmosphere of the place. I look forward to coming back many more times!

Loved eating dinner at the bar, which is Mrs Satan’s and my style. Make reservations (if they take them) or there might be a wait.

After seeing this restaurant featured on the Food Network, we wanted to try this place. From the decor to the restaurant itself, we truly enjoyed coming here. From the time we entered and ate our meal to leaving, service was great. The appetizers didn't disappoint. The Lollipop Lamb chops were cooked perfectly. The mussels as an appetizer were delicious. The burgers were delicious and the steaks were very tender although some Au jus could have been added. The meals we ordered came out hot. Didn't know that there were other restaurants around us owned by the same owner. Will be back to try the other restaurants.
