Overall great experience from the bellmen to the housekeeping staff. Everyone was extremely friendly! The rooms were very clean and the hotel is centrally located. We could see the river from our room. The river walk is just across Wacker. Minutes from magnificent mile. This property is much better than the London House next door (in regards to customer service). One thing I didn't like was the early check-in fee. Also, for parking use spot hero, it'll save you a ton.

I stayed at the Royal Grand Sonesta-Chicago Downtown from Feb 8-March 4. This trip was a combination of leisure and business. First, the customer service experience from Satara and Ian was impeccable. Satara was very impressive and business minded. She listened to my concerns about my reservation and handled the matter immediately also she vibrantly described what the hotel had to offer. The room was very well appointed and spacious with great work area. The bed was heavenly, I enjoyed 4 nights of well deserved sleep and much needed relaxation. Housekeeping was indescribable. The room was immaculate during my entire stay. Location-hotel location is centrally located by various resturants and shops. Nice area to walk from the south to the north end. Overall, the Royal Sonesta I would rate "5 stars" and would stay again. Almost forgot to mention Hoyt, the restaurant in the hotel has great tasting food and large portions. Breakfast plates and the steak meal were delicious. If ever in the area consider this hotel, you want regret.

Me and my family decided to stay at The Royal Sonesta Hotel in downtown Chicago for St. Patrick’s Day weekend. Our experience with the Hotel staff was top notch and the establishment was very impressive. We wanted to eat some good soul food and the staff member Kass highly suggested an amazingly delicious soul food restaurant , front desk Ian & Justin were great with are other questions & concerns along with Satara. Satara went above and beyond with being very kind and was very helpful with our room arrangements and checked on us to make sure that we were satisfied with everything. The room was very clean and the lake view was breathtaking. I highly recommend staying at this hotel. Thank you everyone that helped make this a pleasant & unforgettable great experience! Todd K

Royal Sonesta Downtown is absolutely breathtaking. Extremely convenient location, beautiful and clean rooms, and amazing views from our room (pictured), all for a very reasonable price! What really set Royal Sonesta apart from other hotels was the awesome service. Lucas, the bell man/greeter was extremely welcoming and kind. He gave us all sorts of recommendations and tips for our trip in Chicago. He became a highlight of our trip with how great he was! The front desk was also very kind and helpful.

I had an amazing stay at the Royal Sonesta Chicago Downtown! From the moment I arrived, the service was outstanding. The front desk staff was exceptional—friendly, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to ensure a great experience.

A special shoutout to Lucas, the greeter at the front of the hotel. He was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always there to help. He assisted with our luggage and made sure we had everything we needed upon arrival. If you ever stay here, make sure to ask for Lucas if you need anything—especially recommendations on where to go in Chicago. He definitely knew his stuff and gave us great suggestions! His hospitality truly stood out, and he deserves a raise for the level of service he provides.

The hotel itself is in a perfect location, with stunning views and well-maintained rooms. I highly recommend staying here and will definitely be back!

Great location, nice views. Paid extra for higher room floor, and champagne/chocolates to be in the room ($75). Got neither, just word to the wise don’t order any packages or extras here they will not comp or make it right. Guess it’s got to be Hilton of Marriott for that treatment.

The staff was wonderful. Very courteous and helpful. Charles the Doorman was so kind and gave us great directions to all of our destinations. The night bartender was fun to visit with and made delicious martinis. Would stay there again, hands down!
