We’re from out of town. Went here on the recommendation of a employee at the driver’s license office. Really glad we did. BBQ was delicious. My wife had the salad and I had a sandwich and fries. Had the chance to return again. We had cheeseburgers this time. They were really good. Hope we may be in Jacksonville again one day.

A really great stop for BBQ. Small, no frill, and good.

Stopped in from out of town — and have eaten BBQ all over the country. This is good! The Baked Beans were excellent as were the Onion rings. The meat was tasty as well.

Fun visit with my grandchildren today. Food was fantastic and the ladies are so kind. Southern hospitality at its finest!!! A must try for anyone visiting Jacksonville. GO GAMECOCKS!

We try to eat at the rocket atleast once a month. Their bbq sandwich and sauce is fabulous .The fries are always good. Food is always fresh and the salads are phenomenal. If you haven’t been you need to go!

Went to Rocket BBQ today for lunch. I ordered the hamburger steak dinner. It didn't come with gravy. So I went to the counter and asked if they had gravy. The lady said yes the other girl reached behind and handed me a cup I thought was white gravy. So I thought to myself they must not have brown gravy. So I go put it on my steak. It was freaking ranch. I went back to the counter and told the girl and she said I thought you asked for ranch but the other girl is making the gravy now. So they said they were going to have to remake my steak and asked for my plate back. They took my same steak and over cooked it and put brown gravy on it. I went to take a bite and it was burnt and still tasted like ranch. Never going back. You don't take food from customer after handling it and biting off it and throw it back on a grill where you are cooking other people's food. SMH

Tons of food, great quality, nice staff. I got the Twin BBQ Cheeseburger meal, you get a burger, BBQ sandwich and a basket of fries. Fries are good, BBQ was delicious, burger was great, and the tea was sweet. Great spot

I called in an order and waited 25 minutes like I was I asked and upon arriving to pick up order and pay the guy behind the counter Begins screaming out the window in my face for somebody to come get their food. After this took place 3x I stated that it's rude to scream in a customers face and he said "I run this damn restaurant". He then had the audacity to ask me if she got out of her car, to which I replied "it's not my job to keep track of their customers" lol
He didn't find my response amusing. I've been eating at the rocket for 30 years and I have never had anything like this happen before. I think I will wait till he gets run off before I go back.
