I visited this hotel during Spring Break with my boyfriend and it was a fantastic stay! A woman named Liz checked us in and was able to accommodate our early check-in, which was greatly appreciated! I called ahead to make sure they could store our luggage if we could not check in, and the phones were answered swiftly and professionally. Liz was able to give us recommendations of local coffee shops and they were very good! Our room was small but great considering the price, but our king bed did contain two mattresses pushed together which was uncomfortable. Overall a great visit!

Amazing hotel with the best location, views and services. Floor 2 is a really nice lounge area with free coffee and milk. And water fountains on every floor with bottles. We stayed in a suite so had a small kitchen but there was nothing at all to use, apart from frying pan, no cups or glasses and limited cutlery, no complimentary supplies either like salt pepper or even butter. But this is only a problem of your planning on cooking.

We booked the hotel based on reviews. According to the reviews, we thought the rooms might be small, but our room was actually bigger than we expected. We had booked a small queen room, but despite that, there was plenty of space.

We arrived at the hotel early, around 11 a.m., but since a room was available, we were able to check in early. When we got to our room, we had a beautiful view of the Chicago River, which was amazing. The sunrise was gorgeous, and the nighttime view was equally beautiful. There was free 24-hour coffee on the second floor, so we had a couple of cups there. It wasn’t great, but it was enough to warm up. The floors had free water stations and devices to refill bottles, so we didn’t have any issues with water.

I’d read that the air conditioning was loud, but in our room, it was very quiet. The bathroom and room were clean.

The location was great. Since it was in the center, we could easily go outside to explore, and whenever we got cold, we could quickly go back to the hotel, warm up, and enjoy a cup of coffee. I definitely recommend it.

The location was wonderful. We had a beautiful view of the river. The room was very small but clean. The bed was the hardest most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept on. I had a terrible night sleeping on it. The people were friendly. The big issue my husband and I had was the check out time was 12pm. My husband and I packed up our stuff at 10am to walk the few blocks to our car to put our stuff in. We purposely left a bag with some bottled water and soda along with some snacks. Our plan was to.come back to the room and grab that to have while watching the river being dyed green. When we came back to the room we noticed it had been cleaned and our stuff was gone. My husband went to speak to someone who stated the maids must have seen us leave and cleaned up the room. We have stayed at many hotels. We know the room doesn't get cleaned until check out. They gave us our bag, which the maid conveniently had. I thought that was a very sneaky thing to do and not very honest. What if we had left our camera or something of value? That was disappointing and for that reason, I would not stay here again or recommend.

For whatever reason, we didn't get room cleaning until the last night. The location is good though, and the price ratio is reasonable. Overall, I'd recommend this hotel.
We did spothero for parking, make sure wherever you pick to get in/out privileges. Downtown Chicago with the upper and lower garages can be difficult to navigate though. We ended up parking at 401 North State street and it was a convenient walk for ~30 per day.

One of the only two elevators was down for all of our 4 days stay in the peak holiday time. It took 15 minutes on average to reach the lobby from the room for us. We had to plan our outings according to the elevators. Not that the staff could’ve done anything to do that, but at least they could’ve shown some urgency in getting it fixed. Location is great but the experience with the stay was bad for us. Would not recommend staying here.

So I recently stayed here on a birthday trip to see my mom.
The room was clean, the Fourier was very good looking, and I really had appreciation for the art deco looking style decor the elevators and other amenities had. The only thing I'd say was a drag was having to get my own ice bucket, but who cares. This is a perfect spot to budget and have a good travel experience.
Best of all, the neighboring hotel inn patrons where quiet, and the staff let me sleep in and were super nice.....I'll say 4.7. 👍

Inexpensive, clean, convenient, great views.

Stayed here for the weekend and loved every bit of it! The 35th floor had an amazing view, room was clean, and the second floor has an espresso machine! Pedro at the front desk was a huge help and did everything he could to make my stay comfortable, I would definitely recommend this hotel!
