After reading the reviews, I was somewhat apprehensive about our trip, but we had a great experience. The staff is friendly and always wants to go the extra mile. A special shout out to Bianca who welcomed us with champagne, wine, assorted pop corn and a lovely picture frame with our family photo. And best of all had balloons for my father to celebrate his 89th birthday. Rosa at the front desk, who always had a smile and was always receptive to any of our questions. We lived the extra touches, like the nightly hot chocolate. And while I didn’t get an upgrade (hotel was packed) and we had to deal with an obnoxious neighbor (non stop pot smoking and visitors coming to the room), the stay was amazing. The rooms were nice and clean (special shout out to the cleaning staff, they’re meticulous) with a nice view of the marina. The hotel is well located and we enjoyed long morning walks to Venice beach (try GJusta for a great breakfast or just some pastries). The hotel restaurant is good, but overpriced. We also followed the advice of other reviewers and parked our car across the street ($6 a day). All in all, this was a great stay, the room was well priced and the staff was amazing.

We also enjoyed the dining options, where each meal was crafted with care and bursting with flavor. The waterfront location is unbeatable, offering the perfect blend of tranquility and accessibility to nearby attractions.

Our time at The Ritz-Carlton Marina del Rey exceeded all expectations, and we can’t wait to return. A true haven of luxury and exceptional hospitality.

At first I got a bit concerned reading a few reviews, especially since I'm a big review believer. But I always like to make my own judgement and this time, they were wrong!||Overall, if you're looking for Ritz Carlton, this was Ritz Carlton!||I actually couldn't find anything wrong with my stay.|The welcome is ALL I needed with a bright smile from the receptionist (I forget her name, Katrina or Anestasia? Sorry!). She was very sweet and welcoming.|The dinner at the lobby was great too.||My only feedback is that it was a bit sleepy; like nothing was really happening, no vibe really. A little bit of background music, maybe even someone playing some piano, SOMETHING could have made it a bit lively. Just an opinion.||The rooms were good too, except the heater wasn't working for me but I'm always cold!

My wife and I celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary at this beautiful property last weekend.||We entered our marina bay view room greeted by heart made from yellow rose petals on our bed.||Upon returning to our room after a nice walk on the marina, we were surprised to see 2 large bottles of sparkling water, a 3 level tray with cheese cake, assortment of cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and candies. However the biggest treat for me was the 2 chilled cans of my favorite beverage-A&W root beer!||When on property we spent the majority of our time in the Club Lounge. Adam, Alondra and Maria were (as were the other staff members in the Lounge) exceptional. They were professional, warm and eager to delight their guests-something they all said was fully supported by their leadership. The breakfast is outstanding with plenty of offerings, including an omelette bar. I would encourage anyone visiting to splurge for the Club as it truly is an oasis within an oasis!||Lastly, while this is not a newer property it is well maintained and thus has aged well.||Wayne

Stayed here for the Marina Del Rey New Year's Eve fireworks and had a wonderful experience. The room was spacious, and the staff were super friendly. Everyone is ready to go above and beyond.

They also have a very nice pickleball court—too bad I didn’t get a chance to use it. The room service food was surprisingly great—I wish I had ordered more!

The only minor downside was the hairdryer, which seemed a bit old.

I have been staying at this hotel for 8 years at least 2-3 times a year for work from London. I have never had an issues but the last two visits have been awful. The most recent one I got given a room that smelt of the combination of stinky food and damp. I slept with the door open to the marina. I told the guy on the desk this morning and he looked at me and said nothing. Your front desk staff are ALL awful. They used to be so warm, friendly and welcoming. They remembered I stay at your hotel often. Now I get treated like someone who doesn’t know the hotel with the coldest, more unwelcoming executional poise! I’m back next week and the week after and hope for a better experience! Get your game face on and either fire or retrain your reception staff. The door men are awesome!

We had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The friendly staff and exceptional service sets this hotel apart from others and makes me want to return.

At check-in, Shantel was thorough and patient with us as she explained our reservations and the benefits we were entitled to during our stay. Unexpectedly, since we are Bonvoy Gold members, our stay came with 1 hour of free pickleball(including equipment), a complimentary one hour tour of the marina with a local guide, and the hotel's highest level of wifi at no extra charge. We utilized all these EXTRAS and were very satisfied.

We had also booked this room as through AMEX fine hotels and were upgraded from partial marina view to a full marina view with a balcony.

Within minutes of arriving in the room, someone from the kitchen staff arrived at our door with warm cookies. YUM!

I had previously mentioned to the hotel we were celebrating my birthday. They went above and beyond to make me feel special.
The room was decorated with confetti and balloons. Also, upon returning to the room after a sunset walk, we found in our room a beautiful charcuterie board with fruits and cheese and icing piped Happy Birthday message on the board. WOW!

The room was comfortable and clean and the bed slept well but i could tell it was an older building/room. The shower water pressure was AMAZING. The bath products were Diptyque products.

Back to the great service....EVERY single person...the outdoor pool/lawn guy, the spa/gym ladies, the bellhop, the hotel restaurant hostess and waitstaff....were all friendly and often went the extra mile to help us or honor our requests.

We stopped here for an afternoon refreshment after a long walk from the Santa Monica Pier. We did not stay here. The hotel is lovely. The attentiveness of staff from the front door to the restaurant is outstanding. The view over the harbor is eye candy for boat lovers. It was a delightful respite after a busy day.
