Loved the place, even though we only stayed the night. Michael greeted us at the entrance and was very personable as he figured out logistics, and offered us a room we requested and even offered to make us breakfast even though we were leaving very early next day. Breakfast was scrumptious. Love the place, even though there's some wear and tear but Michael makes it all a charming experience. 10/10 would stay again.

Please disregard older reviews, the Inn in under new ownership and is in the process of being renovated. It still needs a good deal of work, but any peeling paint is more than made up for by the management/owners.

From the moment I walked in, it was like visiting old friends you didn't know you had. They are so friendly and go out of their way to give you a great experience -- so great, in fact, that I opted for a second night even though I live less than an hour and a half away.

The rooms are quiet (well, except for those pesky roosters next door!), clean and the bed was comfortable. It's close to town, but feels more rural, and it was so nice to sit in the shade and read while the breeze kept me cool.

Highly recommended, I'll be back!

Look ONLY at the most recent reviews. They reflect the recent change in ownership AND Michael the caretaker/chef love of this old Victorian lady. The double claw foot bathtubs room was great. Michael not only runs the place but is also part of the overall experience.

Needs ALOT of love but full of character. Staff not very knowledgeable or reactive to concerns. Had to cut my stay short due to uncomfortable bed and lack of a bathroom door. P.s.- Someone should have a word with the neighbor as I wasn't too keen on being woken up by their rooster at 5 AM....

We stayed in room 8 "Cherub Face". It was a very nice room which sleeps 3 comfortably. The young lady who greeted us "Sean", was very nice and made us feel welcome right away. The only issue we had was no hot water. As soon as I told them it was taken care of right away and we had plenty of hot water. It was a very comfortable stay. We will visit again❣ Thank you Sean & Family for a wonderful stay!

This place is awful. The photos on the website are amazingly deceiving. When we arrived we were checked-in my the owner/manager's 12-year old daughter. She was sweet, but 12 When we walked up the tired carpeted stairs to our bedroom, my son was quick to point out the 20+ year-old analog TV and lamp on the hallway floor that looked like they had been sitting there waiting to be put in a dumpster for months! The temperature outside was pushing 100. Though the A.C. was on in our room when we arrived, it was very warm in the room. We turned the Swamp Cooler up at night. Because the sofa-bed was next to the Swamp Cooler, it blew directly on to my son, and he had to put his sweats and socks on during the night and slept poorly. The landing on the flight of stairs leading down to the parking lot was where I was shocked to see two very large hairballs that looked like they were coughed up by an animal of some kind, along with a dirty ashtray and a table (containing a spent matchstick), that wasn't fit for a garage sale. The fish tank in the lobby was so cloudy, my son and had difficulty making out whether there were live fish inside. The lady that seems to permanently occupy the unit on the bottom, a smoker, asked if my son and i could bring her a cup of coffee from town after dinner. The place had the lingering smell of curry. We had a two-night stay booked. I politely asked Gary, the owner/manager, if I could get a refund for the second night. I also told him about just some of the issues of filth and lack of care for the place. His response was weak, and lacked sincerity. I would bet the place is as filthy as when we departed. Though the place was not fully occupied, he stated that he could not comply, as others may have booked a room, had we not booked ours. Gary wanted my money. He got it. He also got this honest review.

Unexpected find. This hotel is fabulous. We had 2 baths in the huge beautiful bathroom. The bedroom was lovely with a very comfortable bed and very quiet. 5 minute walk into town. Good breakfast and a big thanks to Pauline who is a great host and keeps it beautifully clean. Wished we could stay another night!
