The Oakley on the Lake is absolutely beautiful and Angela and Sarah are amazing. Everything about this venue is perfect. The outdoor ceremony space is gorgeous, and the reception area is spacious. There’s so much attention to detail that it really makes the whole place feel special.

One of the best parts was working with Angela. She was so kind, answered all of our questions, and made us feel so welcome from the very beginning. You can tell she truly cares about getting to know you and making your day as special as possible. It’s also very clear that when she built this venue, she thought of every little detail to make it absolutely perfect.

The bridal suite is SO pretty and made getting ready feel even more exciting. The staff were super helpful and made the whole experience stress-free. They were always there when we needed them and kept everything running smoothly.

If you’re looking for a venue that’s beautiful, well-run, and perfect for a wedding, The Oakley on the Lake is definitely worth it. We had an amazing time, and I can’t recommend it enough.

From just looking at the displays at the wedding expo. We already knew that The Oakley was the one and only venue for us and it wasn't even built yet. Angela vision for her venue was planned to a T and to be able to be apart of the dirt to concrete slab to the building standing with the perfect light fixtures. It was just too perfect. So when the wedding day came 11/01/24 it was all we could ask for. The Oakley is the one stop shop for wedding venue. The support that they give is outstanding. I must say thank you very much to The Oakley on the Lake family and staff and a special Thank you to Angela my friends and family love you. I cannot recommend The Oakley enough. Angela and her team were accommodating to us in every step of the process. Our wedding day ended up being much colder and windier than we originally planned for. Angela and The Oakley team made sure our families and guests were comfortable throughout the entire wedding. Everyone was so kind, fun, detail oriented, and such a pleasure to work with.

While the venue itself is beyond incredible, it’s the owners, The Zubar Family, who truly make it special. They are incredibly kind, and it’s clear they genuinely care about both their clients and the vendors. The hospitality they offer is second to none, and it’s evident that people are at the heart of their passion. You couldn’t ask for a better team to work with.

Wow! Our team held a two-day government meeting at The Oakley on the Lake with great success. Angela and the entire team were phenomenal – incredibly helpful, professional, and always went the extra mile. They truly made every participant feel like a VIP. The bright, open spaces are absolutely stunning and created such a vibrant atmosphere for our event. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

What can I say? I toured 19 wedding venues from Atlanta to Asheville and none of them had what I wanted, which was a space that was as beautiful outside as it was inside with a seamless flow between the two. The Oakley on the Lake was our perfect wedding venue, a place that I dreamed up in my head and had given up looking for until I found the renderings of this magical place that didn't exist yet. I contacted Angela, who owns the venue, and toured the site while it was under construction. Though there were no walls yet, or electricity, or running water, I could tell that my vision was in line with Angela's and I trusted that it would be spectacular. It did not disappoint! From the gorgeous souring ceilings to the huge steel frame windows, it turned out perfectly. We used the pavilion as our ceremony space and it was spacious enough for almost 200 guests to sit comfortably with a view of the woods and the shimmering lake behind us. We used every inch of the outdoor space. We had beer pong, corn hole, a cocktail truck, a raw bar, a portrait lounge, and half of our tables all outside, which stays pristine because it's all turf and no grass or mud. The bridal suite is beautiful, with a wall of mirrors for getting hair and makeup done and a large bench swing outside for the bridesmaids to hang out and take photos. They didn't skimp on groom suite either. It has a beautiful leather couch and a pool table and is a great space for the groomsmen to get ready.

Angela and her family are incredible and took such great care of us from the very beginning. When I mentioned that I was trying to source a canoe to fill with beer and seltzers, Angela told me that she had a canoe at her house that we could use! Her husband fixed it up and painted it and made it exactly like the pictures I had saved. It turned out beautiful! I asked Angela if we could pay to add more string lights to light up more of the space on the day of our wedding, and instead, she took care of it for us and expanded their lighting set up. She was allows attentive and responsive and nothing but lovely, as was her husband, daughter, and son. She even surprised me at the end of our reception by bringing her son's dog Tito in, who my husband and I adore, to say hi at the end of the night! I have nothing but good things to say and I am already trying to think of good excuses to go back to The Oakley just to visit because we already miss it. I cannot say thank you enough to Angela and her whole family, you guys are the best!
