Stopped in here for some breakfast and wasn't disappointed! It's very seldom you find a solid breakfast place with reasonable prices and lots of homemade goodies. I got the biscuits and gravy, roasted potatoes and the praline french toast.
The biscuits and gravy were excellent and took me back to my gram making homemade gravy when I was a kid, the potatoes were seasoned well and had some really nice texture to them. Last but definitely not least was that delicious praline french toast, the batter they fried it in was perfection and the bread they used soaked up all the maply goodness, I'll be back for sure!

My partner and I were greeted soon as we opened the door. We love how welcoming the atmosphere is. It’s very cozy and I love how you can eat in peace. The prices are awesome. My partner loved his jerk chicken sandwich and even thought I forgot the name I had like a turkey Swiss item of goodness. Yum!✨ Will definitely come back to try their shrimp grits because I heard it’s really good.

Stopped by after gymnastics for a small bite and wasn’t disappointed in anything but not discovering this gem sooner. The coconut carrot pecan loaf was divine! I enjoyed a cold ginger peach tea as well. My daughter had a donut. I would love to come back and have coffee by the fireplace while a chill still fills the air.

This is a recent addition to our neighborhood, and we decided to stop by with the kids to try some baked goods. We had every type of cookie available and some donuts. The donuts were very soft and delicious, but the cookies were surprisingly the opposite. They looked great, but they could use some work. I didn't find the atmosphere for ordering very comfortable, there is no order to ordering it feels like 5 adults standing randomly in a room with no one knowing who is next. The staff was friendly, although they looked stressed and overworked/crammed. Very homey feel, which we enjoyed but might be good or bad depending on your preference. Definitely worth a visit for you to decide for yourself. Seeing the other reviews I think I need to try their breakfast, that seems to be driving their success. I will update this review if we do return and try it.

I’ve been here at least 3 times in the last month. I love this place so much and they have so many options especially for drinks. I usually get the praline French toast and bacon croissant. I decided to switch it up today and I was not disappointed. I recommend this place to everyone!

I’ve visited The Mixing Bowl three times now since they opened and I’m so excited to have a new coffee shop/cafe close by! The lattes are delicious! I’ve had their blueberry donut and it was the best cake donut I’ve ever had! I’ve also tried their pancake taco (such a fun idea!!) and biscuit breakfast sandwich, both were amazing! The staff is very friendly and I adore the cozy environment inside with the warm fireplace and plenty of seating! I can’t wait for the warmer months to sit outside on the cute front porch area! Welcome to Crete, Mixing Bowl!! 💙

I REALLY enjoyed my visit to The Mixing Bowl!! The staff was incredibly nice and accommodating and the food along with the prices were top tier 🤸🏽‍♀️. I happened to meet the owner, and she’s incredibly kind and humble. I’m so glad they opened! I’ll return soon!

The staff are wonderful!
There could be improvement in preparing hot food items. This business should really consider investing in a warming station for the hot food and better time management with cooking various items.
My parents each ordered the breakfast platter and I ordered biscuits/gravy and avocado toast.
The biscuits/gravy came out first and it was delicious but the biscuit was cold and the gravy was barely warm! So I was only able to take a bite and had to take it to go.
Both of my parents breakfast platters were warm/cool, the eggs being the only item on the warmer/hot side. They said it tasted great but hard to really enjoy a hot meal when it’s not hot.
My avocado toast was way too salty and balsamic dressing was drizzled all over it which I was not expecting (I don’t like it). I tried taking most of it off but it still overpowered everything on the toast along with the salt.

The sweets were great.

I want to give this place a second chance but from other recent reviews.. it seems things have yet to change. Hoping over time they can improve.
