We went there my daughter and I after school, the place was not busy, normal Wednesday afternoon.
Quiet nice location in old town Clovis. First impression was disappointing when we ordered hummus with tapenade and vegetables, carrots were old and dry and cucumber too, hummus wasn’t in the best shape either.
Then we got the BLTA and the chicken tenders, they were really really good, the chicken tenders were freshly made and the batter was tasty and fried greatly. The BLTA: right amount of everything with those crispy crazy bacon, I loved it.
NB : my 3 stars rating is absolutely not a negative, we had a nice experience!!!

Cozy and charming spot that is the perfect place to kick back and hang with friends or take a date. Food was good and great if you are looking for something a little more high end in Clovis.

Never been in this place but heard the food is very good. Went in and they had a great choice to choose from but decided to play it safe on my first visit. Order the Roast Beef Dip with fries. I’m telling you the meat was so tender, au jus was perfect and the bread was so fresh I would have bet it just came out of the oven. Add to that some friendly service and all equals a Great! Lunch, I’ll be back to experience other menu items.

Went with a group of family and had to wait for the food so we started with drinks. Our host was very friendly, and had a good knowledge of the wine and the mixed drinks, and recommended a few things which we were pleasantly surprised.

We went with the cheese and meat board first and it was pretty good. Different plates and the skirt steak with green sauce was well made.

Overall a really nice place with a great vibe and decent tasteful food.

We may have encountered the NICEST and most chill server ever. What an overall lovely experience. Service was outstanding, and food was delicious. I'm 100% sure that you need to eat here, or at least enjoy a well-made cocktail. Wish I knew her name...she was great!

Sunday Brunch Review Only: This is my review on The Local's Sunday Brunch. We arrived early for our reservation at 10:15 a.m., we were the first customers. They had the food out in food warmers (see photos). The food was cold by the time I finished getting everything plated and back to the table. The eggs seemed like fake eggs, the bacon was cold and chewy as was the tri-tip. The tri-tip was also fatty. The crepe pancake was good with syrup. They had three salads, one being a fruit salad with mostly melon. They only had ranch and balsamic dressings for the two salads. We ordered the bottomless mimosas, but we're barely able to finish the first one they brought to us. It was super disappointing; we spent less than 40 minutes at the restaurant and over $100 for a nasty brunch. For the price the food needs to be better. The service was fine but we were the only customers there for the first 30 minutes.

A very solid place. Just randomly picked this spot. A little different menu than I'm accustomed to. I had the shrimp scampi and risotto. My wife had the steak. Both dishes were very good. The price was right. A little less than places that serve the same menu, so that was a plus. Dinner for two is about 100 with an appetizer and drink. The place had a home comfort type feel. TVs need to be upgraded, but not sure they're needed at all. Service was very good as well. Too many places these days have people in the service industry that are terrible at their job. Not here, though. It was a bright spot. Good food, good price, I'll be back!

This is a wonderful restaurant. We’ve eaten there three times. Every time has been spectacular. Christine has waited on us twice. She’s phenomenal. The food is some of the best in the area. If you plan to go out to eat, choose The Local. Lunch and dinner are exceptional.
