The King and Prince is a great property on one of the best walking/swimming beaches I have been to. My wife and I spent 5 nights here late March into early April. The resort has everything and the location is perfect. Easy walk up the road to several local restaurants. A bit further up the road or beach and you reach the town center which has more eating/shopping/drinking options. Some interesting history all within walking distance (the Coast Guard Home Front Museum and the Lighthouse were both well done).|The rooms are well equipped, the housekeeping staff did a great job each day with the room, the hotel staff was top notch. A couple of suggestions that would have bumped my overall review score up. We stayed in the ocean front building and it could use a little updating. The rooms were fine overall but the bathtub/shower needs an upgrade. The elevator could certainly stand a refresh. Also I think it would be good to make the jacuzzi for adults only. There were a ton of families kids having a great time at the pool and we loved to see that. But it would have been nice to have a spot reserved for adults as typically all the pools and the hot tub were filled with kids from early morning until closing. But these were small issues and overall I would highly recommend the King and Prince.

We had a 2 bedroom villa. The hotel is very good at texting ahead of time and responding quickly until they decide not to respond anymore. |Our bedroom tvs didn't work and I text them, they sent maintenance over and they fixed the tvs. The next day we realized the main shower, the knobs were coming off and the safe didn't work so I text and they came right away and fixed everything. We'll the safe beeped the entire night so I text the next morning and they came right away and took the batteries out and told us we just wouldn't have a safe, they didn't have any extras. The coffee maker didn't work and they sent a new one that didn't work either, so I text and it took them 2 days to reply. I had to go to the restaurant in the morning and pay for coffee which doesn't open til 7 and I got there at 650 and they told me I had to wait til 7. So I'm paying for coffee when I should have been able to make it in my room for free. So $60 worth of coffee for the days I was there. |Echo, the restaurant has really great bartenders but at breakfast and the coffee situation, we had a waitress named Q, which was very unfriendly and rude. She never smiled or greeted anyone in a friendly way. Very disappointing for what you pay to stay here.|The villas are nice and the beds are very comfortable. The pools are nice but it was cold while we were there so we didn't get to use them much. The Beach is pretty.|All in all with all the problems we had, i would not stay again for the prices. And the fact they quit replying to your text messages is ridiculous. My husband left a tip for housekeeping with a note for more toilet paper and towels. Housekeeping took the money but did not leave any toilet paper or towels. |I have stayed at much cheaper places with alot less problems. |The have a little place, the cottage, they open at 730 am but we were at the opposite end from it to walk and get coffee. If I had a coffee maker that worked, I wouldn't be bothering people at the restaurant. |Food at Echo was alright. The bread basket was amazing!! The burgers were alright, breakfast was not good.

Wow! We booked 2 nights here to participate in a Jesse Rice event and we were very pleased at this resort. We can't wait to come back and stay longer in warmer weather. The staff was amazing and very friendly. The room we had was very clean and comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. We enjoyed sitting by the pool when it was sunny but too cold to swim. Our favorite was the Echo Bar! Can't say enough about the drinks here. They are not afraid to give a generous pour! And, the Smokey Old Fashions were the best. Highly recommend this as a place to enjoy St. Simon's Island.

Today was the Thanksgiving Buffet at the King and Prince Resort, it has been our tradition to dine here on Thanksgiving for many years as we have no family with whom to celebrate.|Today this buffet was the absolute best that it’s ever been. The set up has been altered to enhance the traffic flow and the food was amazing. The new chef is to be commended. |The baby crème brûlées were wonderful and the peanut butter chocolate chip cookies soft and delicious. My husband loved the peach cobbler and the pumpkin pie. The smoked turkey was a great change and real, creamy mashed potatoes. The buffet, unlike many, was kept clean with the dishes refilled in a timely manner.|It was so nice to be able to speak with Luke and the other members of management who were so gracious. Although quite expensive (at least for us) it was elegant and wonderful. Thank you for a memorable and beautiful Thanksgiving dinner!

I had high expectations for the King and Prince Hotel, but my experience was nothing short of disappointing. Our first room had an ant infestation, and as soon as we noticed, we packed up and reported it. Instead of taking the issue seriously, they simply offered to spray the room—which, frankly, is not a proper solution when guests are actively staying there. We requested a room change, only to find that the second room also had ants.

Not only was this incredibly frustrating, but it also put a major delay in our plans because the last thing anyone wants is to bring bugs home. For a hotel of this reputation and price point, this is completely unacceptable.

On top of that, the service at Echo was mediocre at best. While a few servers were great, others clearly did not want to be there, which made for an inconsistent dining experience. The one redeeming factor was the beach view, but unfortunately, that doesn’t make up for the overall disappointment.

This hotel came highly recommended, but I wouldn’t stay here again or suggest it to anyone else. The lack of attention to cleanliness and service is unacceptable, and I expected much better.

Great location. Drinks in the Echo lounge was fun. Good service. We didn't stay here, but my friends did. Apparently, rooms weren't updated enough for them. They looked okay to me. Dog friendly too... Nice!

So many pillows. Comfy bed. We had a restful stay but there was a mild smell of urine in the bathroom that would not go away. The bathroom was spotless. I could not find the source of the smell. I think it has just soaked in to hang around permanently.

If I could give this place a zero I would. We made a reservation for one night but had to cancel the day of because my husband was very sick, he's suffering a serious illness They wanted to charge a $219.00 cancelation fee in addition to the to the room charge. I explained why we had to cancel and whoever I talked to on the phone didn't seem to care. The website says pet friendly and we called to verify. After we initially booked, we got a text that there would be a $95.00 pet fee. None of that was indicated on the website and this does not seem very pet friendly to me. So they wanted to charge us close to $500.00 without even stepping foot in the place. No problem we'll call and dispute it with the credit card company. I will never set foot in this disgusting place.
