My 11 year-old daughter and I had a lovely time here. The place is a gem; comfortable, well-appointed with everything you need, and designed with no detail forgotten. You can relax and enjoy the quiet, gaze at the stars, play a game, or work on a puzzle, and just enjoy the green scenery. Breakfast the first morning was French toast so good I’d come back just to eat that again.

It’s good we knew in advance that the Has Bin is right next to the train tracks. We brought earplugs, but Mary has thought of everything and has earplugs on the bedside tables for guests.

We didn’t hear any trains until the middle of the night we arrived, and I wasn’t prepared, so it kept me up a bit. My daughter slept through all of the trains. The second night I put my earplugs in before I fell asleep, and I slept through the whole night without noticing them.

If you’re traveling with a kid, they will love the fact that the back deck looks right over the train tracks. Every time a train came through while we were awake, my daughter ran out on the deck and waved at the conductors, who all waved back (and some tooted their horns in a tune for her).

We were pretty private and Mary respected our space, but I have the feeling if I came by myself and felt chatty, we’d have a nice conversation. She was extremely responsive on the AirBNB platform before the trip and then we texted while we were there to plan breakfasts, etc.

My daughter and I had such a nice time that we are already talking about coming back!

Wonderful for anyone who loves the peaceful quietness as well as the distant sound of farming activity & trains . Especially if you grew up living next to the tracks and finding oneself miss the occasional sound and methodical rumble of the CSX Engines, the trains themselves are smooth and very cinematic. I found myself in the heavens of the headlight. The stars were pleasing as well . Careful ,the microwave worked better than ours, and in general, I truly felt as if I had the place all to myself a nice soothing break from the norm . Take your time, take it slow, especially on the steps up to the second floor, and well worth every penny ! Railfanners Dream

Most of Has Bin's reviews are on Airbnb, and they're almost all 5 star. Still, some people turn to google reviews so here, I'll say, 5 stars for sure! This was my second stay, and just as peaceful as the first time (there's a train that runs next to it, but I'm fairly used to nearby trains). The host (Mary) is lovely, always wanting her guests to have a great stay. The place is well appointed, the decor is so very special, I couldn't stop taking pix the first time I stayed. First time was as a couple. This time alone, so I declined the stairway trek for middle-of-night restroom visit (that's just me! I'm older--full disclosure!). The first floor couch is foldout, and that worked just fine.

Exquisite and is an absolutely remarkable retreat that exceeded all my expectations. The elegant decor, comfortable amenities, and attentive service left a lasting impression. The central location and luxurious bathrooms were standout features. Highly recommended for an unforgettable stay.

We absolutely loved staying here. Watching the sunset on the balcony was amazing. And the brownie and white chocolate trifles were to die for. The host, Mary, is absolutely amazing. She is so sweet and makes incredible food. Breakfast was delicious and was the perfect portion. We will most definitely be stayinghere again. Highly recommend for a unique experience.

Booked through Airbnb. Mary Kay was a great. Banana pudding she made was great. The place was cozy and very enjoyable. Bath was great and the bed was nice. There are trains but I rather enjoyed that aspect. Ear plugs provided for those that don't. Highly recommend for a weekend stay.

Very unique and interesting bed and breakfast my wife and I enjoyed our stay a wonderful Host with a fantastic breakfast. A note though for lite sleepers the bin is very close to a busy set of train tracks which did not bother myself . We definitely want to plan another stay and may also look into a grain bin for myself.

Now I have stayed here a couple of times but I don’t think I will ever be back after my last visit. There where bed bugs everywhere and I could sleep because the neighbors where keeping me up all night!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!
