First time visiting Palm Springs/indigo. Had an opportunity to play at Terra Lago and what a treat. Challenging golf course with lots of up and down. The wind added yet another level of competition. We will definitely come back and play.

Play course on August 24, 2024. From the beginning the staff was very friendly on getting people started on their teetimes. The course has good practice facilities. As for the course itself it does need some work. Some tee boxes are uneven and have a lot of dry spots. The Fairway's have dirt spots in a lot of dry patches. However, the greens and the bunkers are in very good shape despite a few needing extra attention. The course would be one of the best around if they will pay more attention to the fairways and the tee boxes. I was also disappointed that I did not see a cart girl all round on a weekend day. The course has one of the best layouts I have ever seen with a lot of elevation challenges, and it makes you think about your next shot before overpowering the course. Despite the dry fairways and tee boxes I can see myself coming back to this course.

Alright so I play a lot of golf and can put up with a decent amount. I booked this with my father in law for Thanksgiving week. We were excited until we got to the starter… only to find out it’s cart path only. The fact we went through at least 3 different people and nobody said anything is unacceptable. My father in law is older and couldn’t even enjoy the round cause we had to walk PAR 5s (back to back). Also it took probably 6 hrs to finish. Most people left.

The greens had more sand than a FL beach and just expected more. I get maintenance coming out of the summer but you tell people that before you book.

If I ever come back (IF) I’ll ask a lot of questions. Very disappointed.

This is one of my long time favorite courses in the desert. To me it feels like a links style course, nestled out in the middle of the desert wilderness. Even the other well known golf courses this side of the 10 freeway really feel nothing like this truly unique offering.

Terra Lago is built up and down sandy mountain peaks across a broad expanse of desert landscape. The course offers a good variety of bombs away tee shots from elevated tee boxes, several challenging uphill holes, greens that beg you to attack the pin but can leave you heartbroken if you’re not careful, and some absolutely gorgeous views.

I have played this course for years and have seen the greens in better shape, but I take that with a huge grain of salt considering it’s such a hot dry climate.

If you are a serious golfer and want to test your skills for a great price, this is the place.

Another 5+ hour weekend golf experience and we enjoyed it. Great course, plenty of water stations, staff went above and beyond and the food was good.

Awesome desert golf with 2 great courses to play. Very unique and fun layouts. Conditions were amazing and greens rolled true. Signature holes are beautiful and perfect for selfies or group pics! It's also the "Home of The Skins Game!".. If you can only play one, I would choose the South course.. it's more scenic and challenging. Will definitely be back soon!

South course was in good condition, beautiful views, friendly staff BUT pace of play was slow and the extremely “vigilant” course marshal drove out to us (and to the groups behind us) to ensure
that we follow their ridiculous rule about returning the golf cart. We teed off at 12:15 and at exactly 4:15 we were asked to quit our round and leave the golf course. So we enjoyed 17/18 holes of golf 🙄🙄🙄. If you are a serious golfer who looked forward to playing this beautiful course like we had… this is incredibly disappointing. Awful course management in my opinion…. There were extremely slow twosomes and one foursome in front of us. How about they manage their bookings more efficiently?!? Or else charge us the twilight rate… especially if they are going to declare 4:15 the end of the golf day. What could have been an incredible day was sadly not…

Skins Game anyone?

I was told this course is pretty tough. Haven't played the South Course. I can attest. The North Course is pretty tough.

To be completely honest. It's a Desert Dunes ripoff. The main difference. Terra Lago moved a lot of earth to make that course. Whereas Desert Dunes was made using the land more naturally. The latter was never really intended for tournament play. Terra Lago was made for the Skins Game & possibly other future events at the time. The lights are still there on the final three greens on the North.

Conditions are super good. Except the slow greens with the summer cut.
The course plays like Desert Dunes from when that course was in its prime. The tee boxes. The layout. The tiered greens that don't hold. That rough that grabs the clubhead. Bunkers galore. A little bit more water. The big difference is the elevated tees. I can't think of any remarkable elevation at Desert Dunes.

Clubhouse was closed when I was done with my round. Smaller clubs during the summer. I wouldn't mind this. But for such a nice facility to have everything shut down like this was unexpected.
