A must stop if you're traveling thru this part of Alaska. I camped here twice in my RV during Chickenstock, and it was an absolute blast. We stayed here again when we made the drive to Dawson for the famous sourtoe cocktail. There are no bad places in Chicken. Absolutely a gem of a stop. Make sure to take a photo with the giant metal chicken statue!

Didn't stay here. Just passed through, very knowledgeable people, very help, very friendly. Surprisingly good coffee, Chicken was definitely a nice little highlight of the trip, the Contrast between this pleasant visit and the horrendous Wendy's visit we had later in the day was immense.

Chicken was definitely a highlight, 100% worth stopping in.

This is a MUST-SEE location... Chicken Alaska is like no other place and this establishment fits right in. The road in itself is interesting and an adventure... plan ahead and be prepared. It's fun but not your city highway for sure! Once you get there, you will be so glad you did.

This is a small cafe/gift shop combined in Chicken, Alaska. We stopped here for our lunch... The group had their lunch ordered in advance. I was looking for a vegetarian option. The ladies were very accommodating and made me an excellent cheese sandwich with onion & peppers. The room where we had lunch was very clean.

My cousin and I (early 80s and in good health) decided to drive from Wisconsin to Anchorage in 2019 following the Alaska Highway built during World War II. We had such a good time, we decided as soon as we came back to do it again. Then COVID intervened and it wasn't until this year we had a chance to do it again. One of the stops we decided to make this time was Chicken. We'd researched Chicken before. Since we don't drive an RV and have no intention to camp out again and need to go in the middle of the night, indoor plumbing is high on our checklist of amenities included in our lodging. This only became available recently in Chicken. Since we don't want to sleep in the same bed, only one room in Chicken met our needs--the Rooster Suite at the Chicken Creek Hotel and Cabins.||||This is a large second floor room on the back of the main building. It has two king beds and two large reclining lounge chairs. It also has a full bathroom with hot and cold running water. WiFi is included, but it's very slow. Don't expect an ability to stream. But if you've come all the way to Chicken, if that's what's most important to you, you've wasted your life. The history, scenery, and camaraderie are the highlights.||||There is a large variety of souvenirs and Chicken wearing apparel for sale on the main floor and front of the second floor. The staff is very helpful. When you check in make sure you find out what hours various places will be staffed, where to eat and when, etc.

Good place to stop for lunch on our way down the road. There was something for everyone. The kids loved looking at writings on the walls of visitors from all over the world. We had a relaxing and filling lunch and hopped back on the highway.

Fun place to explore. Enjoyed getting to see Ann Hobbs old school house. "Tisha" has been my favorite book since I was in 8th Grade.

Lots of choices in the gift shops. Had a drink in the Chicken Creek Saloon. Very interesting decor in there. Ate an amazing cheeseburger at the cafe in Chicken Creek. Very friendly staff everywhere we went.

We stopped here in room C on 10th September 2017 for one night having travelled from Dawson City.||We had visited Chicken on three occasions previously and decided that this time we would have an overnight stay there and enjoy our trip over the Top of the world highway. We were unsure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised . The room was very clean and tidy and well presented and given the location miles from anywhere it had everything you needed for a good nights rest. If we travel to Chicken again we would definitely stay there.Both my husband and I thought it was first class.
