Love to enjoy some good next best thing to home cooked food! Momma’s dressing is the absolute best but we don’t get it all the time. Having dressing and cranberry sauce at The Front Porch is definitely a good substitute!

OMG! The food was delicious! Down home southern cooking at its finest!! Every single thing I ordered was darn close to the home cooking I'm accustomed to. Give those cooks 2 thumbs up.

I'm a chicken & dumpling connoisseur and they were FINE! I also had fried okra and Mac & Cheese. I couldn't have asked for a better meal.

It is so hard to find a restaurant that has good food anymore. This was my first time trying this establishment and i usually give a place a second try if the first time is bad. Everyone can have.... an off day. But i don't think this is the case after reading the other reviews. My mac and cheese was bland. No seasoning, just macaroni with yellow coloring. My meatloaf was ground beef mush with a ton of ketchup and some bread crumbs as a binder. The cornbread muffin was hard but at least it wasn't full of sugar aka jiffy mix. Kudos to the cabbage. That along with the cake(boxed and really small compared to other meat and three places) were the only edible items. The service was fast and friendly. I really appreciate that. I understand everyone's taste buds aren't the same but i was not happy. Today was definitely a Monday.?

This was my first time here. It's just a place to get some country cooking. A plain room inside held about 30 square tables with four chairs at each one. The servers are all young girls, maybe college students. They have daily specials and the entire menu fits on one single chart. I ordered the chicken tenders with English peas, sweet potato casserole, and a roll. My plate came with three small tenders. The casserole was the same color as the tenders and I could hardly see it because it was a single scoop sitting right next to them. They had a lot of crunch on top. Not sure what it was exactly. The peas were in a separate bowl. The only utensils were a fork and knife. The peas were so small, that they went everywhere when I tried to eat them. I should have asked for a spoon. The chicken tenders were the absolute best! They served them with a little cup of honey mustard on the side. I wish there had been more. My friend ordered the same thing except she asked for the mashed potatoes. When they were brought out, she had to ask for gravy. Who serves mashed potatoes without gravy?

The food and staff were great. We didn't know that it was about to close when we got there but they seated us with a smile and made sure we were comfortable. Great atmosphere. I highly recommend it. I give it 5 stars ?

This is the second time with a bad experience with "to-go" food. So this time I'm doing a review. No dressing for the chef salad, 2 very small chicken nuggets in the kids meal. They tried to hide it with a bunch of cold soggy fries. Chicken was tiny. Third meal was hamburger steak. Good. Onions seamed boiled. Completely white and tasteless. Green beans straight out of a can, tasteless and cold. Mac and cheese, old, dry and tough. Creamed corn had a huge clump of something in it. All the vegetables were inedible. Cornbread was dry and hard. Could have broken a window with it. Completely unsatisfied. 2nd time burnt. Not doing this again.

Classic local *meat-and-three* southern diner. Had a lunch there today with my mom. Food is very good, especially the vegetables! (Butter beans, field peas, and fried okra were all yum.) Great service, friendly folks. (They even went to a bit of extra trouble so we could have hot tea.) Lots of tables to accommodate families and groups. It is is one big room filled with tables and chairs, so I can't really say anything about "atmosphere." But I do recommend it, and we'll be back!

Mediocre is the keyword for the Front Porch, from the food to the service. You won’t get a bad meal here, nor will you get a great one. Not confirmed but I believe most good is brought in from Wood Fruticher or the likes. Good news is they taste like most of the other meat and threes in this town. Bad news, no culinary excitement. If your in a pinch this is a safe lunchtime stop, otherwise keep looking.
