We came for lunch & enjoyed the food very much. I had the 1/2 fried chicken, which was juicy, fresh & delicious! There was no coating, just a crisp skin. My husband had the huge pork tenderloin, which he enjoyed. We had fried pickles, which were great, fried mushrooms were good & wrecking balls which has good flavor, texture and also good. Our waitress was very friendly and really on top of it. Not a long wait, plenty of seating & friendly. We'll definitely be back.

My first time to the dirty bird. It was recommended by my friend that lives in Sycamore. He have always raved about the giant pork tenderloin sandwich. We started with the Appetizer Combo. The app was a very large portion of food for sure. The problem was everything was very similar in taste and just dripping of oil. I ordered the giant pork tenderloin sandwich and it was giant for sure but was very oily / greasy with not much flavor other than oily flavor like the app combo. All in all very disappointing. Another person at the table ordered the Filthy Burger and I got a taste of the Pulled Pork and it was very goodand the fries had great flavor also. I was very disappointed that all the deep fried items all tasted the same, not good. The pork tenderloin was very thin, and dripping with oil. I think I would like to try something with the Pulled Pork next time because it had a very good smoke flavor and maybe I should try the Saturday Ribs some time. I have the feeling the deep fried items just isn't their Forte!

this place has literally been on my must-try list for years. my husband and I happened to be in sycamore and I was thrilled to finally be able to try it.
obviously, we mostly went to try the chicken strips and i have to say, after years of drooling over pictures of their food, these did not disappoint! everything was absolutely delicious. it was so refreshing to have chicken that was fresh and didn't taste like a frozen tender from Walmart. the batter on the chicken was perfectly seasoned and crunchy. I also decided to try the fried pickles. this is going to sound odd, but these are something I'm kind of picky about. I don't like breaded pickles and I think pickle chips are usually too thin. these were battered the same as the chicken and were HUGE slices of pickles. they were so juicy and good. even though you pay for a premium side, I think it's worth it because you get a lot and it's cheaper then getting a whole order.
we will definitely be back to try more (the smell of smoked meat when you walk in almost convinced me to try the pulled pork instead 😝). we've convinced both of our families to try Dirty Bird. we can't wait!

Really good fried chicken and reasonably priced. My husband and I ordered a half order of fried pickles and the dirty mama (5 strips). I don't eat a lot so we could have easily split the 3 strip combo with an appetizer. The fried pickles were amazing. They were thick cut which is different but I liked it. The best sauce was the BBQ for us. We tried the sauce flight but the others just weren't for us.

LOVE going to The Dirty Bird we celebrated my birthday there! The chicken is always delicious and leaves me with more than I can eat which is brilliant cause leftovers can be easily heated! *always use a fryer* Thanks for always having hot, fresh, chicken!

Was craving some fried chicken and decided to give Dirty Bird a try. It was absolutely fantastic! Nice clean, casual restaurant. The staff was friendly and helpful. We had the fried mushroom appetizer (FRESH mushrooms battered and fried, DELICIOUS) 2 piece dark fried chicken dinner and a Nashville hot chicken sandwich. Food came out fast considering it was fresh made. The house hot sauce was flavorful, the fried chicken had a thin batter that melted in your mouth.
Prices: 2 adults had full meals, 2 fountain drinks and shared half size appetizer: Bill was under $50 which in this economy was a steal. We left FULL and even had to take some to go. So happy to find this gem. We look forward to returning soon. It will be our new go to when we're craving REAL fries chicken.

Absolutely awesome!!! Service from walking in the door to waking out the door was outstanding to say the least. Was my Birthday. Drive down from Rockford just to come here for dinner and SO WORTH the trip. Now have to come regularly lol. Thank you. OH, the food, da, was so good. Chicken was awesome, baked beans very unique and out of this world! The sauces? Oh yea, heck of a selection, I loved the regular, the spicy, and the bourbon. FIVE STARS guys and gals, Five Stars all the way!!!
