I’m always looking for a great croissant today. I had almond tomorrow. I’ll try the butter. I’m sure they do other drinks very well. My favorite is a large drip with two shots of espresso. Was that you can tell if the coffee is good and the coffee here is excellent.

My partner and I stopped in for a coffee and something to eat. This was our first time here and upon arrival we saw a group of about six people waiting for their orders so the staff seemed a bit backed up but it happens! The cashier was very friendly and the prices were okay. I got the pumpkin bread and my partner got the pumpkin chocolate chip bread. Both were moist and very tasty. Our coffee however was quite bad. I got a flat white with oat and my partner got a cortado with an extra shot. We waited quite a while for our order but again, it seemed to be a rush. Upon the first sip of our drinks we both couldn’t help but make a face. Our drinks tasted like dirty rags. At first we thought maybe the milk went bad but since we ordered two different types we knew it most likely was something else. I don’t know if perhaps a used rag was used on the steamer or maybe the coffee beans were out of date or improperly stored but it really affected the taste. The environment was also very loud and crowded/small which is more of a personal preference thing. Overall it was a very “eh” experience.

Everything here was amazing. I ordered their honey lavender latte, which I have tried at other locations before, and it was perfect here. The bacon and egg breakfast sandwich was delicious. Would highly recommend as it is a small black-owned business! A lot better than Starbucks I would say.

Decided to take a walk on over as my roommate mentioned this is a good place. Really nice coffee, delicious chocolate pumpkin bread, fun staff.
The vibe is small and cozy. Plenty to read, which adds nicely to the atmosphere.
Overall very much a community cornerstone and I’ll be sure to return!

For those who work from home, you know how important it is to have strong internet connections. When my service went down for 48 hours, I was in need for a quiet and inviting place to work out of. The Common Cup was that place! The server was super friendly and inviting the moment I entered. I never worked out of a cafe and I got the full experience. I ordered the spinach and egg white quiche. It was nice and flakey! I also went with the slow brewed hibiscus plum tea. It was super flavourful and divine. I may have to pay this Black Owned Cafe another visit!

Too much chatter from staff. Yelling customer orders very loudly. House coffee was strong and bitter. Breakfast egg sandwich was okay, bacon wasn't crispy. Rushed-in for a bathroom emergency but the door is locked to the common public. Good thing there's no water fountain.

If I could leave this place zero stars for the customer service experience I encountered today. I would. Around 9am December 11,2024
I ordered a cappuccino, which wasn't too satisfying to taste. I literally took one sip and asked the employee to add sugar due to it tasting like a cup of expresso and its cappuccino. She added simple syrup and it still tasted really bitter. I then told the lady who was working that morning that I didn't like it can it be made over or replaced with something else on the menu. She took my cup and poured it out. Me thinking it'll be made over. She told me i’ll have to pay for it to be made over or replaced with something else. I kindly told her I didn't drink the cappuccino and just wasn't satisfied. She stated this wasn't “Starbucks” and had so much attitude like she wasn't at work talking to a customer. I never received a good experience. She was very rude and had a nasty attitude. I then asked for my cappuccino back she told me no she poured it out. Didn't offer me a refund or a simple sorry for me not liking my order. Her co-worker then came over and attacked me. I just left. The whole experience was rude and made me feel like an unwanted paying customer. No manager was not on duty for me to even talk to. And based on the response from some reviews, this kind of attitude is common. Sad because I really wanted to like this place.
