I had a wonderful stay at the Cheshire! The nice boutique type hotel was located in a quiet part of town, and was very easy to find. I really liked the architecture of the building- it really gave it an old fashion, European feel. I liked the decor- the paintings of the dogs and the bear were pretty cool to see. The lobby had a real nice lounge/hang out type area. The hotel staff was great- they were very helpful and went above and beyond to make sure my staff was amazing. The room was great- very spacious, very clean and very cozy. The outside pool was huge!
Overall, I really enjoyed my stay here at the Cheshire and can't wait to stay again!

This is an excellent gem of a hotel located in St. Louis. It's a beautiful historical building that has an English literature theme. Staff was wonderful & accommodating while checking us in. The rooms were large, clean and modern, and they all have the theme of a different English poet. There is a nice bar & restaurant on the grounds but we were travelling for business so we didn't have time to hang out there. Parking was ample & secure for our vehicle and they have night time security on site. We had to leave early the next morning and it featured the nicest complimentary breakfast I've probably seen in all of my travels. Awesome pastries, coffee, bacon etc. I'd definitely stay here again and it was a hard hotel to beat as far as ambience and environment. Definitely unique and cool.

Great location; very close to Forest Park (where lots of attractions are) and nearly right off I-64. Has a lot of character! Just look at the pictures and you'll get the idea. Feels like a trip back in time to a British lodging. Beds were comfortable. Rooms were quiet. Quite a lot of choices in the breakfast. 2 eating places on-site; a small British pub and an eclectic pizza/bar area.

Chose The Cheshire for the last night of our honeymoon road trip back up north from New Orleans and it was the perfect cherry on top for us. They went above and beyond and we were delighted, thank you Dawn. Fox and Hound was awesome too, loved the vibe and the music. Magical sums it up, highly recommend. When we come through St Louis again, we will definitely be staying here.

I travel for work and this is the most dirty hotel I’ve been stayed at!! The location is great, staff okay, but the rooms are absolutely nasty.
Upon arrival in my room, there was a handful of hair in the corner, trash underneath the sink. None of the outlets in my room worked so I woke up with 2 dead phones and a laptop. The next morning when I woke up, I saw nasty stains on a mattress, comforter was dirty. The accumulation of dust around TV stand is massive. Look at the pictures and stay away from this disgusting hotel!!

The hotel is interesting and does pretty well at holding to it's British theme. The room was clean, a couple of dings here and there. The staff were all pleasant. Breakfast typical hotel, but I liked this breakfast better than other hotels (For the record, I almost never eat hotel breakfast because it is always a disappointment). The room was a bit dark and the pillow not too comfortable. They were almost like little throw pillow size. Anyway, yes this is an interesting and nice place to stay.

Positive: It is quiet. I enjoyed looking at the decor throughout the hotel. Negative: I do believe there could be a more secure parking garage. The elevators should have a key card access to be able to operate.

The hotel is super cute and we were so excited to visit. However, the rooms were filthy and we had to cut our trip short. The room was so dirty- dust bunnies had bunnies under the bed, the random bits of food stuck in the bed frame between the mattress and frame, the clogged toilet upon arrival, old stuck tp on the floor, dirty bathtub and the threadbare sheets led us to leave early. Bed is super uncomfortable as well. When brought to the front desks attention, they did allow us to cancel one of our nights with no charge but no apologies or attempt was made to correct the situation. My advice-stay away.
