My husband and I stayed for one night in the Rider’s Den. It is a charming little cottage that is perfect for 2 people. Well maintained and was clean. Ashley, the owner, text us the day before our visit with step-by-step instructions on what to do when we got there. They have a beautiful property, it is quiet, and the chickens are a great touch! I would love to go back for a longer visit!

We had the pleasure of staying at The Carriage House Inn in the Sonoma Suite and it was absolutely perfect. The room was stunning and the bed was so comfortable. You could not wish for better hosts than Scott & Ashley. We arrived to homebaked cookies which was such a delicious treat. The location is stunning and just a stones throw from Queen Wilhemina state park. We cannot wait to return. So highly recommended.

If you are thinking of staying here, or ever get the chance to visit, I'd say one thing: Do it. We came over from England and absolutely loved a change from the usual tourist hotspots frequented by the Brits! There were three simple reasons for this: the hosts, the accommodation and the location. Scott and Ashley literally (and I use this word correctly) couldn't have made us feel more welcome. Their knowledge of the area enabled us to enjoy the stunning scenery (the views from the mountains are incredible and are only a short drive away). From there, you can enjoy hikes of varying difficulties (take water!) or, if you're feeling more adventurous, access the seemingly never-ending trails on a mountain bike or ATV.|The town of Mena is relatively small (in American terms), but it has everything you need. We ate at The Ouachitas (pizza) and La Villa (Mexican) restaurants. They were both excellent: reasonably priced, superb service and great food.|We stayed in Rider's Den - a small cabin in the manicured grounds of The Carriage House Inn. The bed was massive and comfy and the room was immaculately clean.|We only stayed for two nights, which is the only negative aspect of our visit, and feel we merely scratched the surface of the area. What a place, what an experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Sonoma suite. Clean fresh room with a very comfortable bed. The grounds are beautiful and I loved the water feature in the yard. The welcoming soft classical music was a pleasant surprise and chocolate chip cookies were amazing. Would love to stay here again.

We stayed here back in 2021, and we loved the place so much that we are going back again, the cottage we stayed in was so nice and well kept, the courtyard is very quaint and relaxing, sitting by the firepit in the evening made it perfect and meeting others as they traveled thru the area, They have some cute cottages on the property for your stay here in Mena. The foliage is spectacular during the fall as we drove the Talihina drive, the town is small but I love the smallness of it, they have several restaurants to eat at and few a shops to look thru when you stay here. The owners of The Carriage House Inn made our stay so special that we are returning again 2023.

This sweet little farmhouse was lovely! Cozy & comfortable, private & secluded, yet conveniently located just a short walk downtown to several great shops & eateries & even a delightful brewery/coffee shop/pizzeria. There, we happened upon an evening of musical entertainment, which we enjoyed so much we returned for a second night! Hosts, Ashley & Scott, were so warm & welcoming, had wonderful recommendations, and even greeted us with homemade cookies. Tasteful decor with great linens & bedding and the quiet & solitude of the inviting gardens in back made this adorable property tops on our list of return getaways; can’t wait for the Fall! Everything we needed & absolutely superb!

Lovely and tranquil lodging. The hosts have painstakingly remodeled the property to be accommodating and modern yet in keeping with the charm of days forgotten.
The kitchen was amply stocked with all one might need to cook a meal and the appliances were thoughtfully chosen in keeping with an earlier era.
This was by far our favorite lodging out of our Arkansas and Missouri two week trip.

First, I would like to start this off by asking if we could just move in….please?
Before arriving to the cottage Ashley had provided an amazing list of places to eat and visit during our stay. When we arrived we were immediately greeted by Scott, he made sure we had everything we needed for our stay.

The cottage was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. In the kitchen we had the most amazing chocolate chip cookies waiting. We would drive another 5 hours to stay one night just for those cookies.

On the last night the tornado sirens went off and Scott was at our door guiding us to the shelter. We met the entire family including their two dogs!

Scott and Ashley, you are amazing and we can’t wait to stay again!
