A Dream Venue for a Wedding! As a wedding photographer, I can't help but sing praises for The Byron Colby Barn. This venue is an absolute dream to work at, and I always look forward to capturing beautiful moments there.

The rustic charm of the barn combined with its picturesque surroundings creates the perfect backdrop for unforgettable wedding photos. The natural light that fills the space is simply stunning, allowing me to capture stunning images with ease.

Not only is the location visually captivating, but the staff at The Byron Colby Barn are also incredibly accommodating and professional. They go above and beyond to ensure that everything runs smoothly for both the couple and the vendors involved. Just went to a wedding out here, the venue itself is actually very simplistic and inviting, not overly complicated. Nice views of grassland and surrounding housing, The barn structure itself is quaint and the open silo makes for a great bar. I'm not sure if the food was catered by a specific entity or the Colby barn itself, But the grub was great. Can't get enough of the short rib and the roast vegetables. Our party was supposed to go up to 11 but people were exhausted before 9:30. Even then, the staff was very attentive and The whole event proceeded very smoothly. I hear this place won't be hosting events for much longer, which is a shame because it seems like a place that could throw together something pretty quickly and with little fuss. Was a fun night.😁

Attended a wedding tonight and surprising the venue was adorable and quant. It held about 100+ guest. It did feel a bit cold inside. It didn't help folks going in and out to smoke. But overall, it's a very cute place.

This venue was excellent! Was in town for my sisters wedding, and it was an awesome place to host it. It was beautiful decorated, spacious and clean! The bar area was super cool, as it was in a silo! I would definitely recommend anyone to have a wedding here especially if their looking for that country rustic feel!

Run. Don’t walk, run away from this venue. They will tell you anything you want to hear when they are trying to get your money, but once you book with them they are rude, unaccommodating, uncaring, and exceptionally unprofessional. Do not. I repeat DO NOT book anything here. They pulled the rug out from under us after we had booked them as a wedding venue. They were exceptionally rude to all of our vendors and completely unavailable to meet. After two months of trying we were left scrambling trying to find a new place. If I could give them -10 stars I would. Previous great reviews were perhaps with a different staff, but this is how they treat clients now.

Beautiful outdoor wedding space on the lawn with a large, flat area for seating and the reception was in the barn. I would not recommend this space for medium or large receptions and I'm sure the staff will reiterate those same cautions. I don't recall the exact headcount but if you're above I'd say 125 people, this is probably not the place for you. Bench-style seating configuration can be a little challenging to mingle with other guests but is probably the best option for bigger groups. There just isn't enough space to situate all the tables, bar and dance floor for larger receptions. I'd also recommend any DJ's to error on less is more as far as volume as the acoustics are very lively in this space. Our ears were ringing at the end of the reception but that's no fault of the venue.

For our June wedding, my husband and I had our ceremony in the courtyard and then the cocktail hour/reception inside the barn immediately following. The barn has so much unique charm and is reasonably priced. We received many compliments regarding the super cool bar in the silo and the beautiful balcony and all-around interior of the barn. It's truly a do-it-yourself venue, which allowed me to make our wedding exactly what we wanted it to be. We made a little extra to set up everything the day before--totally worth it! The barn is also located on an incredible property, allowing pictures in open-park, prairie, lakeside, or garden settings. Kim was great to work with as well. She answered emails thoroughly and efficiently throughout our entire planning process. Highly recommend!
