Omg..This was my first time here and I was lost at the menu it was so many great options to choose from! I decided on the fried chicken liver for the starter. They served it with gravy(delicious). We got complimentary HOMEMADE cornbread that was absolutely to die for. I ordered the chicken and dressing with the collard greens and fried okra.. The dressing was seasoned to perfection. The okra was fried perfectly. My only thing was the greens wasn't a fan of them. But because it was so many great options I took a to go plate!! If you want some good no GREAT southern food and you're passing through please stop by and give them a try!! Definitely making this a spot on my favorites list. Oh and its very affordable?

We stopped in here on a road trip and it's a little diner off the main road so I wasn't expecting much but boy was I wrong! Everything was amazing. True southern fare and the service was great too. Def recommend!

Had blackened catfish with lots of fresh vegetables.

This is a wonderful place to dine. The staff was friendly and our order was placed in a timely manner. We were served a basket of cornbread after we sat down. The cornbread was delicious. Food was hot and very good. I definitely recommend you visit the Blue Plate if you're in the area.

The food was good with a great selection to choose from. The service was really good considering how busy they were at lunch. The price was reasonable. If I were in the area, it would be at the top of my list for a place to eat.

My friends and I went here for a late lunch. We arrived a little after 2. Patsy order the ribeye, fried okra, mashed potatoes and gravy, creamed corn, and a side of tomatoes and red onions. She said the ribeye was cooked perfectly and practically melted in her mouth. It had nice grill marks on it. I will try it next time. Shirley had the tilapia, rice, squash casserole, hush puppies, and banana pudding. The tilapia was grilled and it was a large piece. It broke apart easily. She said everything was good. I had the 12 gulf shrimp grilled, squash casserole, cole slaw,  and hush puppies. The shrimp were perfect, the cole slaw wasn't great, and the hush puppies were heavy and felt doughy in my mouth. I didn't eat them. So for the most part, the food is worth the money.
