This is my "go to" for quick and easy business travel. Digital check in, check out and key are great. The property and common areas are clean and stylish. The rooms may be the nicest in the area, regarding cleanliness, finish, size and comfort. Breakfast starts at 6AM, which is important for business clients. It is the regular fare, but is prepared to a much higher quality, e.g. real eggs, crispy peppered bacon. Covered parking right behind the hotel is great for winter.

The rooms are well kept but the furnace for my room was on the fritz so it was cold in there. I took a shower and the water was warm and inviting but I didn't like how the floor was flooded when I stepped out of the shower though.. Customer service was great. A few adjustments and this could be a really good place to stay.

I would like to give this hotel more stars - overall the stay was comfortable. The room was clean. The bathrooms were very nice and updated. Sound control could be an issue if you are sensitive to it. I am not. We wanted to try the bar and restaurant - the tables were nicely set but it was closed. No lunch in Sunday and breakfast was completely put away by 10am. The hotel staff were very professional and kind. I will return and hopefully will update the Star rating

My Dad and I spent a few days in the Quad Cities during the holiday 2023 season and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in part of the wonderful stay we had at The Axis Hotel. Being right in the heart of downtown Moline was very convenient as we explored the metro area. The hotel layout was easy and quite comfortable from the cozy breakfasts, to the lobby lounge to the nightly drinks at the lobby bar. We enjoyed the property immensely. Our room was spacious with a wonderful bathroom. The view from the room was great too looking out over the Mississippi River and beyond. I cannot suggest staying at The Axis Hotel enough!

We chose this Moline hotel because it’s in close proximity to the Vibrant Arena where we were going to a concert last weekend. Upon arrival last Saturday afternoon, we learned that the power had been out since the night before. A three block radius was affected, so it was definitely not the hotel‘s fault. It was just bad luck. There were no digital cards on the Hilton app, nor could they give out actual key cards due to the outage. The staff had to escort all the customers to their rooms. Karen showed us up to our room and even lent us her flashlight. Our king room was spacious, very clean and well appointed. It had a little sitting area and a large bathroom as well. It was such a shame we couldn’t enjoy the hotel fully. We had to get dressed right away before the sunset so we could see what we were doing. No hot showers, I couldn’t iron my clothes or curl my hair because… well, no electricity. AND no charging my cell phone which was low on battery and had the digital tickets to the concert. Eeek! |When we returned from the concert just before 11:00pm, the lights were back on. Yay! Tammy at reception was still helping the guests. There was a huge long line of customers trying to get their key cards to get to their room. The staff did the best that they could. Upon checkout on Sunday morning, Tammy was still there working to make things right. The poor girl probably didn’t get a wink of sleep. She told us that we would be getting a partial refund on our room, which has not appeared yet. I called the hotel today and they said they would take care of it. So keeping my fingers crossed. I would definitely stay at this hotel again because of the cleanliness, hospitality and spacious rooms.

What a fabulous hotel!! We had a snag in travel plans and ended up at the Axis. What a pleasant surprise!! Incredible service, delicious lobster rolls and champagne at the bar, and cute cozy rooms. The Axis turned our travel mishap into a great memory.

The hotel is a nicely remodeled historic building within walking distance of a number of shops and restaurants. The room was clean and comfortable and the only noise I heard was from a nearby train during the night. Parking was reasonable (self parking was only a few dollars).

The breakfast buffet ($13.99) was average, and did not feature any service (no drinks or coffee service, both were available but you had to get your own). The only time I saw the server was when they asked for payment. I would stay again but would probably go to a nearby breakfast cafe` for breakfast.

Zero if possible. Diamond member stay 150 plus a year. This property was nice and GM was as well, but other interaction was horrible. Booked under IL state rate. 2 times over last 3 years have I been asked for ID. Digitally checked in, but key was or delivered. Called desk prior and was advised they require and block digital keys until check in. Didn’t have ID with me, however would later. Spoke to GM and she enabled key and asked me to simply stop later and show. My wife arrived later and I went to desk and showed. Asked for an additional water and was told I’d be charged. Didn’t take it. Today I reviewed my Hilton Amex charges and saw I was charged a much higher rate. Reviewed folio and saw rate was more than double and a charge for parking. Called desk tonight at 7:15 pm. Gentleman advised they always charge for parking regardless. I didn’t park on their property or garage nor did my wife. He told me as far rate goes, they do not honor discounted rates on concert nights. Unreal!! Then I cordially pressed and he hung up on me. I called 4 times after and he picked up phone and hung up. My wife called an hour later and asked his name and he said Sean.. Nice property, but with interactions like this it could be 5 star and wouldn’t matter!!! Not sure what component is more infuriating. Hope people look at their folio. As Sean told me they charge everyone regardless for parking and it’s the guests responsibility to let them know otherwise. These type of practices alone are cause for alarm and cause reason for skepticism for everything!
